hmmm this is song has soo much depth it's soo tragically beautifully Gothic...i was kinda dissapointed at the music vd of it :P anyway getting back on track in trying to figure the song out what's interesting here is it can be very stright forward aswell as complicated. i think it's more then the guy being too good to be true and being selfish, ther main idea here is that they are both locked up in their own little worlds, he's the dreamer and she's the craver, she clingy and he's just too caught up in his philosophies and good morals. she expects too much and he expects nothing..."You'd teach me of honest things Things that were daring, things that were clean Things that knew what an honest dollar did mean So I hid my soiled hands behind my back"... i think the first line "You took your coat off and stood in the rain, You were always crazy like that", i think this signifies the depth of the situation it's a imagery it symbolizies him not caring and just wanting to be drenched to feel what it's like to be drenched in what ever emotion it is...well that's ho i see it! :p |

lol! VAMPIRES? honestly ppl, be more realistic will you!! well then again it's ur personal opinion so i won't say anyting or diss anyone..anway i thought this song was talking about imperfection, this girl is pretending to be someone else to fit in...The cut,cut,cut bit i think is a metaphor ..for saying how society is killing her..."when we cut cut cut cut cut cut cut you up, cut cut cut cut cut they remember" as in change themselves just to fit in...but at the same time i also think this song talks about an aspect of suicide or self-harming... "Five A.M. on the bathroom floor from the night before. What a shame such a sad disgrace, such a pretty face, but she's not regretful"...killing herself or harming herself...just to get away from this twisted reality...i loved this song out of all the songs in decemberunderground...but yeah that's my opinion!! |

i don't care what Fred Drust said, but in my opinion i think the songs abut long distance realitionships, the guy is trying to to get to her "build a bridge" is a metaphor for reaching out to her, he trying really hard to get to her, but it's not working out, and she's kind of fading away as well, but he won't give up..
