regardless of that he still is falling for her and tries to make her understand it's her selfishness that's preventing true love. Hence "It's about you."

I think song is about a guy, who met a girl and is now sacraficing a lot to be with her. My guess is that he had a lot of plans before meeting her that he is giving up on. She is preventing him from following his dreams and everybody therefore thinks that she's bad for him. He isn't making excuses for her, though, because he knows it's true, hence the line "it's about you". However, he's still in that elated stage of love and he plans to "keep what he's found" regardless. That's my take on it, anyways. Senseless love- the best kind.
