to me anne arbour is a location and he is saying the only thing in his life at the time was this place b/c the girl was not there for him. i always had this song but never listened to the lyrics untill my girlfriend broke up with me. she gave me a ring for good luck but i never put it on my finger i put a string through it and put it around my throat. so the first time i ACTUALLY listened to the song i broke down b/c the ring was still around my throat. beautiful song i will always remember it |

to me this song is about not caring what other people say two people are together and thats all that matters. the "oooh oooh" in the song seems to me like a "fuck off" or "oh well" b/c they will never care what other people say about them anyways they dont care about that. in my opinion a very deep song love it |
