| The Cure – The 13th Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| in my mind this song is about a guy wanting to have sex with a girl when he shouldnt for some reason. she is some sort of performer, eying him from the stage and is sexually forward, he wants to refuse but cant. this isnt usual for him so he is suprised, but is enjoying not being himself, maybe not caring or the sexual freedom. cool song, i like how convincing Robert Smith is. | |

| i cant stop shivering when i listen to this song. it is stunning, i need not interprit it, its just wonderful, musically and lyrically. im not too sure it has some set meaning., it just flows through emotions like water, emphasising them perfectly. gorgeous, gorgeous. it seems to rejoice at life perfectly. | |

Well, i recognise the Lizzie Borden reference. But im not really sure you can write a song without picking words from your own feelings. And interpriting with my own experiences this song is about a desire to hurt other people, as well as yourself. Just allowing things to happen to you that you know will cause damage but you just go the hell ahead and do it anyways. and then you dont get the punishment you wanted from people "only a ticket...", but it is still is too much. and you still hope things will work out even though you have damned yourself. and also the wanting to actually get people who you blame for your problems outve your life, like Lizzie, opression and whatnot. i enjoy this song during bouts of self-indulgent sadness hehe |

| PJ Harvey – The Piano Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| Well I couldnt say exactly, and am probably wrong. But there is an extremely beautiful film called the Piano, its about a dumb woman who only speaks through the piano and her young child. Its an amazing and shocking film, if you havent seen it you should and i can draw simularities but that would involve divulging certain parts of the plot. wonerful song, | |

That is true, infact when I saw him live he said something to the effect of "This is the happiest song I have ever written......about death." fantastic song. |

ahh i have had a spot of realisation methinks. I reckon this song is about being single and Im not sure exactly what her opinion on that is. For me the playing hospital is relationships in the sense of someone always getting into bad ones or getting upset over things. The headstones is just damning the relationship, his and hers is like the marraige and how its all done down even how they die together, no fun. So she aint living her life on the other side of an "&". Hmm maybe joint suicide? I dont exactly know but for me its relationships. |

I think this song is a self reference, to a relationship seeing as "doll" is used. But just open enough for almost anyone to relate to. I can see where the prostitution stems from too, but to me not all of it would fit to that. This is an amazing song, I have fallen into musical love with it after only just having heard it today. Where would I be without the Dresden Dolls? No where quite as beautiful.xx |

This is....beautiful to say the least. I really hope they play it this November, because when I saw them in May I dont think they did, you're very lucky espionage. I don't know any exact meaning but I supose it is some sort of self-reference. I love it, and find my own way to relate as usual. It lyrically reminds me of Girl Anachronism, accidents and such. Love me: http://www.wwwiii2.org/kevinmp3s/ampersand.mp3 This is where I got mine from. More than possibly the best band on the planet, it's great they're finally getting the attention they deserve so badly. Hopefully lots of riches too. xxx |

And the song is about technology ruining the world i supose, i love the "like it all you want its fruitless...." parts, amazing! The ending is also great, cutting off all the computers! read the paper"!!!! haha i love being brought up on computer communication. |

This song IS absolutely amazing. I dont know what its about but i love the lines: "So it's all over because who likes imperfection? Her only hope is that it might become a fashion" Genious yet uncommented. |

I love this song. Amazing band. To me its about going to watch a musican friend who is performing badly, like errky39 said. But i also think it might mean she went to watch as she wanted a romantic relationship with the musician, to show she would always be there. Im not sure though and parts confuse me, it could easily just be her being a good friend. |
