NOFX – One Celled Creature Lyrics 19 years ago
I like the song a lot. And it is definitely about Propagandhi. Fat Mike said it in an interview with AMP.

Fifteen – Stolen Life Lyrics 19 years ago
Great song with a self-explanatory meaning. I'm surprised no one has commented.

Heavens – Another Night Lyrics 19 years ago
I definitely agree with the fact that Heavens sounds a lot like AT lyrically. It reads (but does not sound) like stuff on Maybe I'll Catch Fire.

Heavens – Patent Pending Lyrics 19 years ago
This song is really, really sweet. I'm loving it. The lyrical content reminds me of old Alkaline Trio. And it's a refreshing considering Alkaline Trio's latest efforts.

Anti-Flag – State Funeral Lyrics 19 years ago
This is definitely the "Death Of A Nation" of the new record; pretty strong. Very fasty and punchy.

Hawthorne Heights – Saying Sorry Lyrics 20 years ago
The noise that this band produces should cause your eyes to bleed. They are not talented, unintelligent, and a disgrace to rock music. Listen to real music. In reality, this band can be a good one to escort, say, an 11-year-old to the realm of independent rock--but anyone who is older than that should destroy their music and make it their life goal to make sure than no one else hears them.

Say Anything – Yellow Cat (Slash) Red Cat Lyrics 20 years ago
This song is strong on almost every level. The lyrical depth, as many of you have already noted, is profound. I think the song is simply discussing the life and the activity that most citizen's simply ignore (typically because it happens all the time). I think Max realizes he is doing it. And he's frustrated that he observes it and then simply writes songs about observing. ("If I'm truly so enlightened, why'd I waste your time on it?")

Five Iron Frenzy – Banner Year Lyrics 20 years ago
This song was inspired by Dee Brown's "Bury My Heart At Wounded Knee." This book is quoted in another FIF song: "The Day We Killed."

Five Iron Frenzy – Fistful Of Sand Lyrics 20 years ago
Really powerful stuff about how we can work and work very hard to take the world. But it will all burn. A fistful of gold might as well be a fistful of sand in the long run. Eternity, Reese argues, is where our treasures will be.

Five Iron Frenzy – Superpowers Lyrics 20 years ago
Five Iron Frenzy has always just wanted to be seen as regular people. They are telling you that the things they do on a road isn't anything special and the fact that they right music and people love it doesn't really much.

Five Iron Frenzy – Handbook For The Sellout Lyrics 20 years ago
This is an awesome song. I love it so much. Especially when all the punk rockers and emo-kids freak out when they see little girls wearing Starting Line and Green Day shirts! AHH! I'M NOT LIKE THEM!

Pedro the Lion – Promise Lyrics 20 years ago
Actually compared to his other religiously-themed songs, I don't have an issue saying this is the most "typical" and among the weakest. Too generic, if you ask me.

Pedro the Lion – Secret of the Easy Yoke Lyrics 20 years ago
I don't have any issue saying that this is the best song off of "It's Hard To Find a Friend." That being said, this is about a struggling Christian seeing hypocrisy around him, but in spite of that, still not being able to feel God. He doesn't not feel God because of hypocrits--it's something much more internal. That much is clear. David Bazan's lyrics and what he says at his shows make it unclear whether he is still a Christian. But either way, the music should benefits Christians and those who have other beliefs alike.
