| The Specials – It Doesn't Make It Alright Lyrics

This song was actually written by Jake Burns, the lead singer of Stiff Little Fingers, for the Specials. Lynval Golding and Jake Burn were good friends and Golding went on to write "Break Out", one of the best Stiff Little Fingers songs there is. |

Great psychobilly bands Nekroman mentions: Mad Sin, Demented Are Go, The Meteors, Batmobile. I'm sure there are many more I'm missing. |

Shane Macgowan is definitely the best part of this song, I saw them a few years ago and as they started this song they anounnced they had a special guest singer. I was like, "Aw no fuckin' way!!!!" Unfortunately, they just pulled some tool out of the audience and let him sing it. Way to get my hopes up guys. |

"You choose your leaders and place your trust
As their lies wash you down and their promises rust
You'll see kidney machines replaced by rockets and guns"
Weller is a godly lyricist. |

To me, this is just a goofy fun song in the typical style of the Adicts. Great opening and catchty as hell. |

What a great fucking song. Definitely SLF's best, these guys are pissed off and sick of the system. Their message is clear and meant to be followed. Note: The orignal version is much better than the single. |

This is defintiely one of their best. It's a lot slower and more reggae-styled than most of their other songs, kind of a taste of things to come with Common Rider. I saw another beat down last nite take warning...... |

Acobb voiced my take pretty well. What a great song, very simple yet very moving. It really reminds me of those songs they used to song on that old show Sifl n' Olly that was on MTV all those years ago. Don't really know why though. |

What a great song, probably one of their best. Obviously Weller criticizing the blue collar working man for obeying the systemlike he's told to. I love the opening. |

This and Mr. Clean are definitely their best songs. I love how this song just goes on and on forever but never gets tedious, Weller just gets more and more passionate as it goes on. It's also one of the most brilliantly descriptive songs I've ever heard. I can picture the station and the beating and every event perfectly. |

The first verse is hilariously ironic to look at from today's point of view considering AM! signed with Fat. Definitely their best song, I seriously love it to death. Even better live. |
