Dixie Roadrash Lyrics

Dixie Roadrash at the world's most obvious car crash She went through twenty states but the one I hate came last Whoa, nothing slows down nothing ever turns around She slipped right through my hands Herbal remedies are best for minor maladies Don't want those flowers to lay beside her name Please excuse me if I don't stand up and tell you things All those fun and games just left with her today Whoa, nothing slows down nothing ever turns around She slipped right through my hands If I could have just one wish come true I'd wish you here with me - or that I coulda been there with you Whoa, nothing slows down nothing ever turns around She slipped right through my hands

Holy cow this song is awesome. Makes me want to go cruising on the countryside. I have no idea what any of it means though :)

I think it's about a girl that he loved who had alot of problems and an addiction to herbal medicines, thinking that they were safe which they are not, and he feels regretful that he wasn't able to save her.

I think it's actually much simpler. A friend of his dies in a crash, the "herbal remedies" are the flowers on her grave, and "I'd wish you here with me or that I coulda been there with you" wow. Awesome song.

Acobb voiced my take pretty well. What a great song, very simple yet very moving. It really reminds me of those songs they used to song on that old show Sifl n' Olly that was on MTV all those years ago. Don't really know why though.

Haha, you know, I wrote that comment almost 3 years ago, and now I look back on it and realize how horribly wrong i obviously was.

I adore this song.

I agree with Acobb. It's about a girl he loved who got into a car crash.

"Whoa, nothing slows down nothing ever turns around" this refers to how she should've slowed down, or turned around. but she didn't. and now all the aftermath isn't gonna slow down either.

"If I could have just one wish come true I'd wish you here with me - or that I coulda been there with you" this bit is saying that he wishes she stayed with him instead of driving, or that he had been in that car with her that day. either way, they'd be together.
