Um, i do have to kind of wonder where you guys are getting your facts....... There is NO way in hell, that there are 2million soldiers in Iraq currently. Lets see, there are currently 15,000 (roughly) british soldiers in Iraq. There are meant to be about 7 times as many yanks. Taking into account various other nations, (although the British and American forces make up the majority) my maths may be not the greatest (yes, and i know my english isn't great) but that doesn't make 2million! (continueing a theme) 'Idiots!' lol....Tho i do agree they don't know what they are fighting for (one of em is my brother in law after all). I think it is possibly about World War 2, baffles me why no-one else has mentioned it, perhaps from an american perspective? 2million could definitely be a figure from that war, not sure, but maybe allied deaths? casualties? British deaths? American Deaths? i dunno, pretty morbid subject...Being English, i'm not entirely sure how it was viewed in america, [though you were taken by surprise....2 YEARS(!!!) into a global war (i mean, come on!)] but im not sure, perhaps many of them didn't know what they were fighting for (of course, today being the aniversary of D-Day (and also another massive american f**k up...can anyone say 'Omaha'?!?)...well, anyway, this part mini-rant part stab in the dark has to end sometime, and now seems pretty good....though i have to agree that Avenged Sevenfold are awesome! and that synester gates is a legend...that solo in 'blinded in chains'! anyway....rock on! .|..| |

Top 5 Atreyu Songs definitely (along with demonology and heartache, right side of the bed, ex's and oh's, and atleast i know im a sinner (perhaps a 'discuss' there could be appropriate))... I can understand if his voice is going, human vocal chors cant stand that sort of punishment for long....look at AX7's M Shadows, had to have an operation, and trvium's matt heafy's voice was shot to bits when i saw their gig at the astoria on tv, was so glad i saw them in exeter instead....anyway, back to the point...not a friggin' clue what the song is about 2bh, but loving the 'Can you feel her burning through your veins? she will always live forever', havent been able to stop singing it... |

To be honest, i think the only God to do with Alter Bridge or Creed was Mark tremonti (who may i point out, live, in Bristol, 20th November OMFG!!! WOW!!!)....people only think that they are God rock because Scott Stapp, 2bh, was a nob, just look at how confused he was when creed split

Tremonti:"Actually i've started a new band....one without a gimpish lead singer whos in love with himself and wears tight (EWWW!) leather trousers".....ok, i must admit, they arent real quotes, but you get the point.
This song i believe is from the point of view of the singer, he is basically saying to a friend; "there's something to live for, keep going!", and ive sent these lyrics to two people when they have felt like their life has turned to crap, and its genuinely helped... |

I kinda agree with those last posts, but to be honest, i just think it's a really powerful song....The kind that pops into your head in you darkest times, when you think there is nothing left, when you have your head in your hands. Just remember those lyrics over and over again "hope is not lost" and it isnt, it never is |

Ok, this is the only song ive ever heard of them, and only heard of them then cause they were on a free CD in the Atreyu pack (infact, up until now, i thought it was actually Atreyu, woooops, didnt reallly think it sounded like them). Not a great fan of the singing/screaming/whatever you will call it, but that hard driving baseline is awesome, and i listen to this song as many times as i can before i get in the car before a race, really gets the adrenaline flowing before i put my crash helmet on |

Just amazing, i haven't heard alot of The Cllaing, mainly cause i know that they aren't really my cup of tea, but this song is just one of those songs which transcends (have i spelt that right?) musical genres and everyone can appareciate it's brilliance |
