To me the song is about how the person telling the story, so to speak, is regretful about turning someone down and by doing so shuts that person out. The person who got shut out/turned down is a sensitive person that appreciates even the smallest gestures as long as they're from the heart. It feels good to be able to (partially) relate to the lyrics of this song since I love the way that Nikola sings and the way Millencolin lyrics are written in. AWESOME song about regretting not being able to "deliver" to someone close! |

The obvious interpretation, TO ME, is the one where the narrator is an adult explaining his feelings and thoughts to his love. He's also dying in cancer (quite overstated by now). If you start peeling away details and such you'll get a song about how hard it is to come to the realization that relationships sometimes come to an end, one way or another. In either case I find it to be a moving and straightforward song. My two cents ^^ |

This is what I think the song is about; a boy is in love with a girl, I think she's self-destructive in some manner. But this isn't really a problem for him. He just wants to stay with her for as long as possible, as if he knows that his time with her is limited. He wants to stay with her until she's done for the evening (for many people the "breakdown" of the night is when they've "had enough":P). "Turn it up I never wanna go home I only wanna be part of your breakdown" The whole "four on the floor" thing is about her just being caught up in the music and enjoying the moment (I also play the drums, didn't know that four on the floor was an expression though, english isn't my mother tongue :P). Since it's a proven thing that alcohol does harm to the body in large quantities he's stating that they don't care that their health is the price of going out for a time like the ones they have. The others that DO care simply don't understand and if they all just leave each other alone everyone will be fine. "broken hearts and torn up letters" If you've been in love once you ought to know that these two CAN go hand in hand, not necessarily though. "girl you just can't dance forever if you wanna make it better times like these won't last forever" First I want to say that I think they saved "times like these won't last forever" so that the other two lines would sink in to the listener. After you've come to that realization you need to be told just that thing. Otherwize you risk overbiding your time... And it sucks doing so :/. So take action for love, NOW! :D |

To me this song is about going through with what you believe in, wether someone is with you on it or not. The first verse could be about the same and also about keeping your self realistic by remembering where you're coming from and where you want to go. Can't really figure the second one out though :P |
