I never thought I'd find a song that perfectly describes my own marriage but Dan managed to write it. He's the best. |

Dude, wtf is your deal? I believe you are correct as far as the meaningless nature of these lyrics go. However, why do you feel the need to be a dick about it? People are just taking their best shot at it, which is THE WHOLE FUCKING POINT of this website, if you didn't already know. There's no reason to refer to them as losers, babies, ect. It's immature and retarded.
Why you and others like you act so pissy for no reason on the internet is beyond me. Grow the fuck up. |

| Catch 22 – Hard To Impress Lyrics

General fuck you song. Could be directed at anyone, although rumor has it it's aimed at Tomas Kalnoky. If that's the truth, well, it just kind of makes them look stupid. Listen to Kalnoky's post Catch 22 work and then listen to Catch 22's post Kalnoky work. No fucking comparison. Not even close in terms of quality and creativity. Kalnoky may be arrogant, but most geniuses are and the guys who stayed in Catch 22 probably wouldn't have much of a career without him and Keasby Nights. |

| Morning Glory – The Whole World is Watching Lyrics

Very killer track. Great sounding guitars for a punk band, especially at the end. Not the greatest political song ever written but all-in-all a good message and a thoughtful one.
Oh, and don't feel the need to listen Aus-Rotten to get good political punk. Good Riddance will do just fine, their lyrics are intelligent, insightful, and very political. As an added bonus they don't sound like total shit, which is more than I can say about Aus-Rotten. |

| NOFX – Franco Un-American Lyrics

Oh god, fat mike is such a pussy these days. I remember when his lyrics were much more cutting and libertarian in nature.
Now his political lyrics are laughable, simplistic, and, all in all, a joke. Dude needs to read more, not just regurgitate the left wing talking points of the day and sell it to 15 year olds who don't understand the complexity of international politics.
This song sucks btw. The keyboards make it sound like a fucking rentals song. |

These lyrics are somewhat fragmented as far as the subject matter goes. Classic old school LTJ musically and lyrically. I love the sax in this song. |

| Less Than Jake – The Upwards War And The Down Turned Cycle Lyrics

Simple song really. It's about being stuck in a dead end job and the inablilty to change your circumstances and the misery that goes along with that. You use alcohol, humor, and hopes to numb the pain of it, but you're still stuck in the same shitty cycle. Story of my fucking life, to quote Mike Ness |

This song blows, lyrically and musically.
Pretty much the moment when LTJ dropped the ball...kinda sad for the band who made Losing Streak to be recording crap like this. |

Atmosphere (particularly Slug, not so much Ant, whose beats are always fresh) has let me down a lot in the last few years. Still, this is a pretty hot track. Slug clearly see's himself as a vet. |

| Alkaline Trio – Keep 'Em Coming Lyrics

It strikes me as a road song and a breakup song at the same time. He's on the road/tour, in pain from a recent loss, and getting fucked up to forget about it. Pretty simple actually. Probably my fav AK3 song the lyrics are beautifully graphic |

Wrong bizzarestone, the line
"nevermind the bullocks, my pistol is a sex machine"
Is a Sex Pistols reference. A pretty good one too...
Good song, smart lyrics and good production, probably the best on an otherwise dissapointing album... |

"don't you squint at me because your childhood was the pits
every single one of us have trodden through our shit"
Love this line...Wanted to scream it at my ex when she would blame the fact that she was a bitch on her childhood.
My least favorite song on the album though |

| Less Than Jake – Portrait of a Cigarette Smoker at 19 Lyrics
| 19 years ago
|
|
It's not an anti-smoking song. It's just describing what its like to be at this age, when it seems that nothing matters and your frustrations just build to the point where there's nothing left to do than get drunk and smoke off a pack or two. I've been there and I've felt this. Although I despise the musical direction that LTJ has taken over the years, their lyrics always continue to amaze me. |

I hope everyone appreciates how much Eyedea fucking tears it up on this track and the fact that the long verse lasts about 30 seconds, tops. Absolutly sick, I wish he would do more tracks like this one. |

Actually ThE VANDAL, Scrip8 is right, the Bosstones singer does appear on this song, he sings the title line after the chorus, Tim sings the rest of it.

This ain't slug's best shit, but there's something just so enduring about this song. The beat is very enjoyable and the lyrics are alot of fun. I've always said that Slug is the most honest rapper alive, this song is an example of it. |

Jesus Christ people, calm the fuck people. Everyone fucking knows that it is a NOFX song. What you should be commenting on is the fact that it beats the living crap out of the original. The guitar solo in place of the trumpet is a thing a beauty, and Tim sings it way better than Fat Mike could ever dream of. It just goes to show how much better Rancid is than NOFX. |

| Weezer – Across The Sea Lyrics

This is an amazing song that stands out on an already great album, but I can't help but feel that it is one of the creepiest songs ever written. Basically, it seems to describe a very insecure individual who is taking a simple fan letter to a dangerously obsessive level. But it's a great song. Beautifully sung and played. Weezer will never be able to top Pinkerton. |

| 30 Foot Fall – Feel Like Morrissey Lyrics

I have to comment on this song even though 30 foot fall probably broke up years ago and no one really gives a fuck about them. This song is just so fucking brilliant. The way they combine the titles of Smith's songs to make cohesive lyrics is unbelievable. Simply Genuis 30 foot fall was a great band with some amazing lyrics and it's a shame that 99.9% of the population never got a chance to listen to them. |
