I think "sabori" hit the nail on the head. The first stanza is definately how you feel when you come out of church on sunday. I'm thinking the chorus might be a little bit more simple than everyone thinks... "We all wanna be, wanna be somebody. Right now, we're just looking for an exit" we're all somewhat scared of the long term commitment to God, and truly becoming something worthy in his eyes. In the mean time, we're tempted by all these things that we use as exits from faith. |

This song to me shows the "Collision" between love for christ and love for the opposite sex. "There seems no end to where you begin" shows to me how it seems like you can never really get over an ex. "So afraid You'll find me out" you wanna be a good christian, but you need romance. I'm not sure though, its just my interperetation... |

I'm a huge Lifehouse fan. This song means alot to me, and I can really compare with what he's saying. My girlfriend was having a really rough time a couple months ago, and she only wanted to be alone. She shut me out, and didn't want me to help her because she thought I'd get in the way. What Jason Wade is basically saying is "When you get better again, please remember me, and what we had together even though you want to be alone right now, I hope you know that I'll be there to help you if you need it. Come back to me." Another part that I can really compare to is when he says "Start to feel the emptiness and everything I'm gonna miss. I know that I can't hide." It reminds me of the pain I feel when I'm not sure what's gonna happen. She could be fine, or be hurting, and I can't do anything to help her. "Staring right back in the face, a memory can't be erased. I know, because I tried." He's stating how hard it is to just let someone go like that, it's nearly impossible, and he's tried many times. this is one deep song...my new favorite! |
