| Blink-182 – Adam's Song Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
I think this song is in parts like a suicide, when he instructs his parents and friends on what to do in the event of his death. Other parts are like him reflecting on his own after he has died. “Laughed the loudest who’d have known” is about no one expecting him to be the one to take his own life because he was always happy. This might be “Adam” putting on a happy face for everyone so they wouldn’t worry about him, or maybe he was bipolar. Tracing the cord back to the wall seems like, he was talking into the phone and no one responded and he thought no one cared, then he realised it just wasn’t plugged in when it was too late. “The choice was mine I didn’t think enough” seems a fair bit like “Adam” is reflecting on himself after his own death. Like he is dead and looking back on his life and saying “Oh shit I wish I didn’t do that.” About conquering and coming and being 16. It seems like dying when he didn’t really have the opportunity to do much in his life. Never really accomplished (conquered). I think rarely came might be sexual, like dying a virgin but I am probably way off on that one. “16 held such better days” seems fairly obvious; like it was easier when he was younger and had no worries, now he's older and riddle with responsibility. I don’t want to go into the tour part much because I don’t get it. But maybe it’s Mark relating to “Adam” with his own experiences. Another 6 months I’ll be unknown is like everyone will be talking about his death for a while, but then something else will come up and everyone will forget about him. The part about giving all his things to all his friends seems like a suicide note written to his parents. Like get rid of all my shit because I don’t need it anymore. Close up my room because I know it will bring back painful memories so just ignore it. I think that the cup of apple juice in the hall is interesting. I thought about possible metaphors that it could be. But then I just thought no that doesn’t work out so it must be completely literal. Maybe it’s just a reference to all the little mistakes you make that your mom or dad yell at you for. Please tell mom I didn’t do it because she yelled at me so much. That about covers it. That’s everything that the song means to me so I'm sorry if it’s a little stupid in parts. I love this song greatly. Lets all be happy and not fight on forums. It is dumb. Best wishes Bobo |

this song has some great lyrics i believe they are talking about the kkk in the police force. in the lines those who die are justified for wearing the badge and the chosen whites i thought were the lyrics because i thought the were talking about cop badges and kkk robes. also in the lines some of those that work forces are the same that burn crosses i think means that the cops (forces) burn crosses (what the kkk is known for doing) a few days ago i learned that ratm changed the lyrics in this song for mtv. it was terrible because they were told to do this and it was the line fuck you i want do what you tell me that they changed. fuck you ratm. you fucking sell-outs. i like their old stuff from before the sold out though. fuck you ratm |

what do they say at the beginning of this song? Some strange thing about soemthing going like this. I think it's best that you don't try and spend your time trying to decode the meaning of punk rock and just fuckin love the music. |

| Fuck you guys. Communism is beautiful. The one pleading for emo friends is right. Che Guevara is cool but it pisses me off to see little bastards wearing those tshirts without knowing what he did. you ask them what he did and they said he was a rebel. You ask them what he was rebelling against and they look at you like a 10 year old seeing a cock for the first time. | |
| Rage Against the Machine – Fuck Tha Police (NWA cover) Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
any of you guys know the song Piggy Pie-Insane Clown Posse. Bush does suck. RATM are pretty damn brave to do that in front of all those cops. Did you guys know what happenened to Bob Marley while he was dissing on the governemnt |

| Rage Against the Machine – Bullet In The Head Lyrics | 20 years ago |

atthedrive-in is annoying. RATM have got a great way of getting their message across to people and they just happen to be making money of it. If you like you can ignore their countless donations to useful charities. Their way of spreading the word sure beats your way of bad mouthing people who are better off than you. What do you listen to? Eminem? Sorry for ignoring your advice renegrenade. He was pissing me off. I thought the stuff on people's cars was something about the jesus fish? Im Australian so I miss out on these little messages Here in Australia we dont all talk likethe crocodile hunter. Fuck I hate that guy. |
