See I feel a completely different meaning for this song. To me its about a couple that really love each other but everyone keeps interfering. But that might just be the way im interperting it becuase I am in that kind of situation right now. Me and my wife have been married for over a year and have been together for 4 years and were best friends for a few years before we got together. But still my family didnt approvr andnever really liked her. Well recently me and my wife had a fight and i thought it was over, I had to stay at my parents house and my family was pushing me to end it. But all I could think about was her, i couldnt put into words how I felt and how much I loved her. Thats when I realized I shouldnt have to explain myself. Its about Me and Her, Not all of you. Thats why I love this song and why sometimes I cry when I hear it...I just feel it so much. The lines "cause it's you and me and all of the people with nothing to do, nothing to prove." really mean alot to me. Cuz me and my wife have nothing to prove to them. Its about Us. I also like the begining of the song....cuz when your totally involved with and have given yourself compeltely to someone you do lose track of time. the song telling you if you love someone the be with them. You can't live your life through everyone one around you. You have to be true to yourself. least thats what it means to me. |

First off this song is awesome and its great to see a band go back to good old fashioned Rock. Now to me this song is about a guy and his girl. To me it sounds like a friend or someone close stole his girl from him. I dont know just my thouhgts. "So rip it from my soul. So everyone will know. In the end we were never friends.'' those lines seem to supports my thoughts...Also the this verse "Don't push your ignorance on me. I'm not unrehearsed to your jealousy. And I know you think I don't see the signs
Well how do you know, do I look blind?" Could be talking about the friend and how he knows hi did this to him |

I think the song is about a man who was going to kill himself but realizes at the last moment that his problems isnt the end of things. That there is still hope. Even though everyone seems against him he finds hope. Hence the final line "And nobody knows what I believe...I beleive. |

You can tell its about his mother these lines are definately point in that direction. "Well I can't understand just why you went away...Too young to feel the pain and bitterness of lov." and "Well I can't understand just why you went away...I sat and waited for the day you'd come back home." Also "You are my hope, my god, my love, my fear, my gun." sounds like a mother to me. |

This song is the lead singer's interpitation of an old tradtional Greek song. The band's guitarist is greek and made a mix tape for the lead singer. He loved the song and another band member suggested they do an original version of it. So Travis learned the greek lyrics by listening to it over and over again. The english words are what he thought the song way about. I really dig the opening verse, especially "All the stars had mischief in their eyes." I really like that line. I also really that he sings the real Greek song at the end it has a hauntingly feel to it... |

I love this song too. To me it's obviously about a child abandoned/neglected for most of his life. Or maybe a rough split of the parents. Once again strong lyrics. My Favorite line is "I'd give a thousand lives...To see you suffer the same." Maybe his family moved alot...not sure definately has some animosity or even hatred for his parents. It shows in other songs as well. |

When the band performed on a local station (WAAF 107.3fm Boston) Travis (lead singer) said this song was about the first time he got high from smoking pot....if you pay attention he refers to smoking a few times throughout the cd. Kick ass song either way. |

This is an extremely beautiful and sad song. To me it seems about his the love of his life dying. Whether she took her own life or not is up for interpitation. I belive she did do the opening line "And when she hurts herself, How she'll be hurting me.." I really like the lead singers voice and the way he writes. Each song seems to have an outstanding line or verse. Please buy this cd or at least listen to some of the songs. You can find them on the band's website. |
