Afilitomi Lyrics
It was the strangest look
I'd ever seen
All the stars had mischief in their eyes
And they're laughing at me
But I know where I'm going
And for how long
I'll wait forever
To get you there
I'll wait for good
The second part is still unclear
Blackened draperies and English beer
Something about a Queen saved by God
And I'm lost by her grace and peculiar
Smell
The Kings were gone
Disappearing heads
The Kings were gone but I'll miss you the most
Until we meet again
The Kings were gone
But I'll miss you the most
I swear
Yes, I'll miss you the most
(rest of song is in Greek)
I'd ever seen
All the stars had mischief in their eyes
And they're laughing at me
But I know where I'm going
And for how long
To get you there
I'll wait for good
Blackened draperies and English beer
Something about a Queen saved by God
And I'm lost by her grace and peculiar
Smell
Disappearing heads
The Kings were gone but I'll miss you the most
Until we meet again
But I'll miss you the most
I swear
Yes, I'll miss you the most

This song is the lead singer's interpitation of an old tradtional Greek song. The band's guitarist is greek and made a mix tape for the lead singer. He loved the song and another band member suggested they do an original version of it. So Travis learned the greek lyrics by listening to it over and over again. The english words are what he thought the song way about. I really dig the opening verse, especially "All the stars had mischief in their eyes." I really like that line. I also really that he sings the real Greek song at the end it has a hauntingly feel to it...
