| Morrissey – The Ordinary Boys Lyrics

Tonyk (though I doubt you'll ever read this message), I'd say that he actually does think they're lucky in a way. Even though those ordinary people have repetative, unfulfilled lives, they are content with themselves because they don't know any better. The narrator is one of those people who just can't see life in that simple way - to survive and enjoy. |

I think it's mostly about having a suspension of time with someone you love where the chaotic happenings outside don't matter. It's very dreamlike. Amazingly awesome song
As for the video, here's a comment I read on youtube from swietygirl:
"a friend said that she thought it was about the whole story of jezus, him comming from heaven and seeing people who are very lost( the two people in the beginning), or aggressive(the boy with his football), or very stupid(the fat woman), or people who are looking for gold their whole lives ect. at the end he faces death and sacrifices himself to safe them."
and perhaps the kids with the sandcastle represent the rich and unthankful, and I don't know why the guy with a metal detector finds a dead duck...
Anyway, that's the best interpretation I have. |

The sound is very similar to Depeche Mode's "Enjoy the Silence"
Similar enough for me to call it a rip off? Almost. Great song though |

| Jump, Little Children – Cathedrals Lyrics
| 20 years ago
|
This song describes cathedrals in such a gloomy, spooky, evil way. The chorus tells how uncomfortable the narrator feels. Religeon is the 'home' of almost everybody worldwide "The line moves slowly past the electric fence
Across the borders between continents". He feels that religeon doesn't accept him, so instead he must find his home in another place. A very difficult quest, but I predict that the home he is looking for is within himself.
I'm surprised that my opinion is so different from you all's, but eiter way this is one of the most gorgeous songs I've ever heard...to bad I find the rest of Jump's material subpar except Dim and the Dark (the song). |

Looking on the surface, it just seems like a song about sky-diving and the anxiety that comes along with it. |

One of the three best songs, in my opinion on Scarlet's Walk (Wednesday, Carbon, Gold Dust)
It's just about American life. That Americans like to beat around the bush. I'm guessing. There's probably a lot more to it. |

I love how these lyrics match Hyper-Ballad's to make Bjork seem like she's a goddess who unintentionally comforts mankind with technology while she's only trying to comfort herself. |

It seems like a song about a cheating girlfriend, but there seems to be a lot more to it. Anyway, this is one af my absolute favorite songs!! |

/\Sure it is. "A person who is STILL emotionally a child" is an adult. So it's about rape. Statutory rape.
The lyrics and your quote match. |

This is definitely one of Bjork's best, btw.
The Vespertine B-sides are amazing! |

I think you're looking too deep into it.
I really don't know what this is supposed to mean, myself, but maybe it's about how you can't escape the pressures of the outside world in your own home. |

The Ren & Stimpy-stile video ranks among her strangest. |

"How do I master/ the perfect day"
I love that line.
But to go off topic (kind of). Why would I want to master the perfect day. What makes life intereting to live is the combination of good and bad days, the suspense! |

| Björk – Pluto Lyrics

Intense. I feel like dancing to this song every time I hear it, so i feel that the lyrics match the song perfectly. We all need to go crazy every once in a while. Maybe Bjork just want to let loose, release, go crazy, and dance. And the next day she's completely relieved.
But I think everyone here gets the gist. :-) |

I think it's hilarious that this was recorded in a restroom.

I like how it uses some lines from Bad, so it actually is kind of a sequal. One of my fave songs |

This is my favorite Seal song
from my favorite album ever (I'm serious)
though I think it's kinda wierd that this song is about B.I.G.'s and Tupac's deaths. Neither the lyrics nor the music video alludes to them, and I doubt Seal was that close to them
whatever, this song is very special to me, and I love it.=) |
