AiR7oN, if your referring to the first verse i think its describing a moment insted of the entire relationship, the second verse is in present and the bridge is i nfuture tense, so I think its describing it as what happened, what is and whats coming, AMAZING song. I'm listening to it right now |

on the Site Scott Anderson said its about staying ahead of the world. basically lying to yourself, like finding a happy place so nothing else matters. at first I thought it was about drugs or something like that (riding my carousel, meaning doing drugs and "they can never tell" meaning no one knows but him) but hey, this note came from the lead singer himself, and since he wrote the bloody song I guess we should belive him eh? |

Hmm, this is an interesting song. I think the first part could be about going crazy and talking to yourself, hearing voices and thigs like that but i dont think so cuz that wouldnt explain the part about the paths. its interesting, but even though I dont know what it means the lyric "no one calling, but someone is bound to reply" is one of my favorite of all time. |

This is probably one of the greatest songs ever written, Even before i knew what it meant It still held alot of signifigance for me. I pretty much agree with everyone here, this is one of those songs that was really well thought out and hard to figure out, but once you do your like "man, thats so easy i should'ave known that" that makes the song even better |
