I cant believe no one has said anything about this song, its one of my favorites!! finger eleven is awesome!! lyrics are missin some stuff though, but its all good!

Hmm, this is an interesting song. I think the first part could be about going crazy and talking to yourself, hearing voices and thigs like that but i dont think so cuz that wouldnt explain the part about the paths. its interesting, but even though I dont know what it means the lyric "no one calling, but someone is bound to reply" is one of my favorite of all time.

i'd say that this song is about two people who have feelings for each other and both of them know it ("the signals given") and yet they can't seem to actually get together. each of them are more or less doing the same thing, hence "i know we're playing the same game". since they know they're both doing the same thing, neither can admit it and therefore their conversations skim around it, which complicates everything.

or maybe i'm wrong and it has no meaning. great song either way

"the signals given" part is im trying to let people know how i feel, but i cant vent my feelings, and no ones listening.

this song could easily be somewhat about a girl though, thats why he feels this way. she left him. all alone, hence the conversations alone

Sounds like a relationship issue "Somthing changing" ..From friends to more.. "The secret is building" ..You kinda want tell somone but not sure.. Almost over and somehow seems a beginning ..Could end a friendship but start a relationship.. Ok, here's what I've always taken this song to mean, though i could be completely wrong, and looking back, there isn't actually that much to back me up... regardless: I always thought it could be about the way mass media is affecting social interactions. People sit at home, with their cell phones, the internet, XBox live, etc, and FEEL like they're being social, like they're interacting with other humans, when really, there's no one else there. Feel free to rip that apart.

I'd say this is about how conversation is an extremely important part to any relationship and I guess how people keep things from each other...
