I have to agree witgh ya on the whole man wanting everything, but maybe he is taking it back biblically. At the start of the song he mentions 'Below the earth lies a serpent Fire and brimstone..." As if saying that just like the apple on the tree, we need to try the forbidden fruits of life and we need everything, until the change happens and its to much for us to handle, E.G. getting kicked out eden. If you understand what im trying to say. Maybe not, maybe he is just talking shit, but those first few lines are what makethe song a little bit more mteaphorical. |
