It really is beautiful. I don't think it's about suicide, just losing the one that you love and remembering memories you think you've lost. That's what it means to me anyway and I've related to this more than most other songs I've ever heard, especially the part where he remembers past summers and certain things that happened between them, and, I'll never tell you all the different ways you make me so afraid.

It reminds me of "Say hello on a day like today, Say it every time you move. The way you look at me now makes me wish I was you" from A Night Like This, it gives the same idea of a love song and wanting to be the one you're writing about? x |

Oh I love this song :)
It makes me happy no matter what's going on, and it must be the only song I can say that about. Thank fuck for Mint Car. and the title fits in with Vanilla Smile and a gorgeous Strawberry Kiss.
Its definitely about being in love and it could well be about sex in some parts, but then so could most Cure songs!

I'm so in love with this song. and I love the idea that it gives and Davey talked about to do with winter, and what it means to you, being here even though summer is upon us now (which personally, I can't really stand) and that's why I love listening to the decemberunderground album (apart from being beautiful). So many things it could be... afi's lyrics are fucking incredible, aren't they, I love them. I think its really interesting what xLostSoulx said about cocaine being called Girl and that it could be an anti-drug song, it makes sense, but so does the idea that it's about death.
We'll probably never know and I agree with what someone said, that all their songs just seem to have an underlying web connecting them all up, but I think the only person they'll ever make sense to is Davey.

It's such a shame because this would be a lovely song if it weren't for Rasmus-arse coming in and wrecking it :( Ville's voice is so deep and sensual through the whole thing and to me it seems ruined by Lauri's infernal whining. |

I agree with Chrisanti it's such a beautiful song. Having been through bad heartbreak it makes me feel so much stronger to listen to it, I cant really explain why I guess, it's very powerful to me. Especially love the end where Ville sings the words "Take me"/"Hold me" :) |

I love this song, as do I love The Crow :) I think it's a great song to sum up the film and its many elements. And the "Victims, aren't we all" line couldn't fit better. May I just ask, how is "Just like the moon does, we rise and shine and fall" funny or stupid? Seems very true to me. |

Another AWESOME cover :) They do a lot of covers but the thing is, they get well away with it, them being the greatest band to ever grace this earth and all... I love the feeling in this song of being affected and almost disturbed by somebody, wanting them but not wanting them, not understanding why. The Raz. Rom. version is a lot more commercialised, if you haven't heard the old version from Greatest Lovesongs it's well worth listening to. |

Such a great cover, almost completely different to the original by Blue Oyster Cult, far darker. It's very epic and I love the imagery it creates. It has to be one of the greatest songs HIM have done (not surprising since it's from Greatest Lovesongs)
It's weird, I'd never heard it compared to Peter Pan but I realise now that that's what it does actually make you think of during the last verse |

This sounds like a good song.. I can't seem to get hold of it anywhere :( Also I agree about Bam Margera - does Ville not get annoyed with the little skater boy's infernal obsession with himself and the band? There's being obsessed/in love (or both) with HIM and nothing wrong with that.. :) but Bam has utterly hijacked the heartagram for one thing, and has even got the DILLIGAF (Do I Look Like I Give A Fuck) tattoo around his finger, as Ville and his fiancee recently did instead of engagement rings. What is he, marrying Ville, or something? |

An absolutely, erm, beautiful song. Both the original and rock versions are awesome, in different ways. Obviously it's about somebody who is completely blown away by the beauty of the one he loves (and beauty is what you make it), and you have the original version which is very deep and kind of represents his feelings of love and awe towards her, whilst the heavier version more represents ecstasy and passion. |
