I think this song is about getting out, breaking free and moving on. They speak of letting go "of all we've known" and how the town "holds no more to see". I see the plot as best friends, most likely a guy and a girl, getting out together, breaking free from their old territory to start a life together. Emotions are everywhere... being unsure, yet wanting to take a risk...
then again, this is what I think of it. many people have different interpretations of songs depending on what it means to THEM. |

I lovee this song. One of the best by The Used if you asked me. I don't know, but what I get out of it is like.. becoming famous and the ups and downs of it, getting out of your old city.. like that. |

To me, this song is about someone who has very strong feelings for another individual, and he wants to tell her.. but he's scared of the outcome. He finally tells her how he feels, "I hide behind these words but I'm coming out." And is then rejected. "I wish I kept them behind my tounge." In the chorus he is thinking about how things could've been, and all the emotions she makes him feel. That's just my opinion though. LOVE the title. |
