11 comments and not a single one talkign about the meaning of the song. You guys suck. i don't give a fuck what you like about how it sounds unless you provide a meaning, hah. Anyways, the song writer is feeling like they dont know exactly who they are, as if they have to find themselves, and the first few lines describe that. Then, the next few verses like" will i wake to find you waiting by my bedside" and "am i following the lines on a face never shown" are saying, well, he's wondering if he is seeing who she truely is,. and once he finds himself will he finds that she has really been there for him all along or she was someone different that who he thinks she is. I liked this song right when i heard it, and i saw them live right on my birthday, it was amazing. I just recieved liek the serious full effect and why i can relate to it so much yesterday. hm, well i'm not sure if i agree with the first comment he's in too far, maybe he's saying that he is way to into the relationship, as if he is usually nmore independent. So when he's thinking of the last time he's thinking of the first time, as if where it started and where is now, and he feels unsure and thinks about ending it, but whenever he's around her all those worries just float away. He is too far in the relationship, and it would be better to just get over it, but he then decides to go farther into it and let the relationship progress. He's saying "can't stop feeling, doesn't matter who you are" so pretty much the relationship might not be such a good idea, for whatever reason, but he can't stop wanting her and is way too addicted to her already so he just wants to keep going with her. that's what it means to me, maybe i got the idea because it's the situation i'm in now? heh. |

Another good song by The Firebird band. so the writer is an artist, who lives and breathes art. They knwo that everything outside of it ends anyways, they miss what used to be, but it is over. A girl tells him " you live like shit, and suffer for your art" but really, he does think of it like that, he puts all of himself into art and doesnt think of it as suffering, and doesn't really notice the way he is living. This is an amazing song, and the music matches the lyrics well. The song is about problems, and using a medication or pills to take care of it. It's a deep song, if you really look into it. i'm not sure what "shoot shoot on the radio" is supposed to mean, maybe expressing the feelings or the troubles into a song, which goes onthe radio. i think instead of " we'll take care of it" it is "will take care of it." i love the line " mouth to mouth suffocation" as if two people, or maybe one person personifying a drug, cut off the rest of their lives except that one person/drug. It becomes the only thing in their life and they close themselves from the rest of the world, as if muffling them away from the pain but slowly killing them at the same time. the "i need you more than this" couls stand for needing a person or drug more than the life they have, or maybe even needing a person more than a drug and wanting to quit. I think it's the first opition though. It's funny, i posted this song on my myspace and everyone is falling in love with it. They are a really good band and will hopefully gain more fame with time. |

YESS FIRST COMMENT alright well, this song, the speaker has been decieved and broken by a person, and is not the first person they did it to. The person goes around breaking people, playing with their hearts. And he's wondering why they did it, for popularity, testing people, or altering people in some way. Then saying if they hold on they'll find what they are looking for. But then the speaker finds themselves decieved and broken just as before, it seems this is the first time they believed someone may be different. They are tired of being alone and being played with, they are trying to find someone who will care and they will mean something to, instead of putting hope into something only for a let down. They are sick of being taken advantage of while vunerable. This is an amazing song and i can relate alot. |

mycro, stupid comment, if you're going to comment, atleast provide a meaning. the first verse paragraph explains the dull life of people around you who don't think back up by technology and computers. They follow rouines and lines, all to follow the test set by society, to be accepted, thinking inside the box. The chorus, the person is crying out for help, which ends up being useless and in vain since no once will listen, and the person is shocked by the worlds ignorance. Verses after the chorus, i think may be people misunderstanding, people not caring can lead to horrible mistakes and tragedies, but breakign that apathy and having them understand and use insight in the world can help to break them from the "spell" of society and just a meaningless life in general. after the chorus plays again, describing how if apathy is replaced with feeling can break the person off from the black and grey life into a colored, deep world. beautiful song. It just shows how people should use insight and be searching for meaning more in life, analzy the songs you listen to, and get somethign out of them. Start using your brains people. |

I think this song is him "coming out of his cage" is getting emotionally attached to this girl and trusting her to stay true, "Gotta gotta gotta be down Because I want it all" he means he has to be down with her going out and having a life and trusting her because he wants to have this full, trusting relationship with her. the "how did it end up like this" part is him wondering how he managed to fall in love with her, because it was very unexpected and he is owrried and going through pain wondering if she is cheating on him. the whole next part is him imagining her cheating on him in his dreams or keeping him awake from sleeping. He is trying to control his jealousy, and when she comes home i think he is suspicious and saying she is chocking on her aliby for being out. "open up my eyes, cause i'm mr.brightside" he's sayign he has to trust her and make sure he looks at the good points of the relationship so that it doesn't fall apart. the whole "i never" part i bleieve is him saying he never expected havig these feelings of pain and jealousy, and with the whle "mr.brightside" idea is keeping it together because he loves her and he knows he has to trust her no matter what is possible of happening or what he imagines.... do you think i got it? that's just how i see it.
