| Converge – Color Me Blood Red Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| It is about both being straight-edge and doing drugs, it doesn't mean Jacob is a druggie, he's just detailing the perils of something like a heroin addiction. | |

| Andrew W.K. – I Love NYC Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| I believe you're right, mneiai. Then it goes on to say "We are a final friend," - think the combination of "mother/father" and "final friend" mean that "we" are the be-all, end-all. This is backed up by saying how it will never end. | |
| Nirvana – They Hung Him on a Cross (Demo) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| It's actually, "He never said a mumbling word." But it's pronounced more "mum-blin'". | |

| The Streets – Wouldn't Have It Any Other Way Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
it seems like he's going back and forth from wanting to stay in with his lady and going out with the fellas. great song, but im not a fan of his drugs/alcohol centered jabber. i wish he'd focus more on the relationships and silly day-to-day happenings |

| I read in an interview this song's about the hordes of lame scenesters ruining the music scene etc etc etc | |
| Massive Attack – Angel Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
I think it's from a boyfriend type of view towards his girlfriend. She is perfection to him and is his "angel". he is obsessive and is definetly the jealous type. So much, in fact, he even wants to neutralize every man in her relative proximity. |

| Converge – Black Cloud Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
It's already been explained, but when i saw them live he mentioned it's about personal demons "which we all have" such as drug addiction or whatever. I see this song as motivation to keep pushing past whatever negatives from your past haunt you. |

| Sigur Rós – Untitled 1 Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
Since the song has been "explained" I'd also like to decipher the video. I see it as the future of mankind, a post-apocalyptic world OR the present, which it thankfully isn't due to some good in human nature. I believe the video shows the contrast between the young [innocent] children playing and the world they live in. They show fun can be had in any situation, with their innocent imaginations. Also, the children's 'kiss' tells us about love being able to exist in any place as well. Then the girl dies, content with her life. Somebody told me the girl dies and I was so disappointed. I always thought she lived, discovering the masks were unnecessary. But now her death is all I see. |

| The Dillinger Escape Plan – Destro's Secret Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
I've been thinking hard about this one and all I can come up with is: -A guy likes a girl, he would be great at loving her -He realizes she will never love him, he's not good enough for her -Looking deeper, she's just like him underneath what he originally saw -He realizes she is worse than him, or that he hates her [and possibly himself] for liking her -He goes to her house and taunts her, then kills her |

| The Dillinger Escape Plan – We Are The Storm Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
This song is about a failed relationship, predicted to fail from the start. The speaker describes himself as a pawn, quite unexpected to overtake a queen. Obviously the relationship blew up at some time and it's time for them to be on their seperate ways. this part is a bit more difficult: "cut through the sea this pendulum swings near to me we are the storm so take your ship to port" I guess he's saying the two of them together are the storm, as opposed to a calm ocean breeze. Now he wants to seperate, staying the storm as the partner goes to port, leaving him alone. Now it is time for the two to "let it go" |

the super-slow tempo of this song makes me feel like everything in the world is going slow 8:18 into the song- the keyboard/organ is so beautiful i want an organ with that sound even though i can hardly play a chord |

listen to the song. listen extra carefully at 3:16-3:19 did you notice it? this song makes me feel like im swirling around, but never getting dizzy. my mind if flying at such a rate, in such odd directions, I have no concentration everything is happening at once, so quickly and smoothly. this is true musical beauty |

| The Dillinger Escape Plan – Panasonic Youth Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
i believe this song's about abortion specifically, and the evolution[s] of science generally. The speaker was involved in an abortion procedure, and now feals great guilt. perhaps at the beginning he [an his partner?] haven't realized what they have done, feeling no remorse. By the end of the song, they feel pain in realizing their choice, and part of this is blamed on the evolution of science, providing options to kill with no remorse. |
