This song really moves me ... it reminds me of my college boyfriend, we did the whole long distance thing, and we'd make the three hour drive to spend weekends together. It's that longing for someone when you can't get enough of them ... you have to have them here and now, even if the back of the car is the only place available. "And we'd learn how our bodies work" Best line. It gets me every time. |

First, I want to say that it is un-buh-lieveable that there are so few comments on any Carbon Leaf songs. They are great, and if you're trying to tell me that se few people have heard of them, I'm not buying it. Also, I've got to say that as much as I like "Life Less Ordinary" I love love love "What About Everything." I think it's catchier and more tangible and I love it a little more every time I hear it. I think it's about realizing that your life is out of focus - you're giving too much attention to unimportant things and forgetting about what's really significant. It's kind of a reminder things aren't as bad as they seem, and that there's so much that we take for granted, or don't understand, but that what's important are "her love to obtain" and "my dream so far" ... |
