I learned of the song from the Uptown Girls OST and I fell in love with it. I think the song is about losing a person and then you realised how much that person mean to you and you are regretting that you could have shown that person how you really felt, if you did not lose him/her. |

I also love this song. It is so sweet and peaceful. Fran has the saddest sounding voice in my opinion. Not that it's bad, actually it adds a dramatic effect to their songs which makes it even beautiful. |

I think a lot of us connects with the song in the sense that we are not perfect but only some connects with the cong in the sense that we find people who loves us despite of our imperfections and I can say I connect to the song in both aspects mentioned and I feel really lucky to have found someone who is still here despite of every flaw i have. Alanis writes about relationships in a way that she does not try to perfect it (which I think is impossible) but she writes about it as it is in the real world. |
