Er unless someone wants to cough up some hard evidence to prove me wrong, then I'm going to go ahead and say the posted lyrics are wrong. it isn't "to have you be at peace" unless he's singing in a really fucked up voice/accent. Every English person I've shown this has said it's "to have your babies", not "have you be at peace" also it's "crazy kitten smile" unless he's stringing a bunch of words together. odd lyrics maybe. still a fucking awesome song. |

this song reminds me almost of a relationship i'm going through at the moment, or maybe i was in, i don't know right now. bullshit aside, this is my worthless opinion on this. --------- Go on just say it (are you afraid to) you need me like a bad habit (say what you want to?) (tell me you want to) One that leaves you defenseless, (are you afraid to) dependent, and alone (say what you want to?) (tell me you want to) - im not entirely sure what the depdent, defenseless and alone part is entirely about. it could be the person who the song is sang for, saying she wants him to be those three things. i'm no doubt wrong, oh well. Well I hold (my tongue) and use it to assess the damage from way back when it mattered Nothing seems important anymore, we're just protecting ourselves from ourselves - they're both caught on their ideals and think they know whats right, so they argue about what they want to do/think/see and defend themselves againest the others comments/feelings. (And I don't think I'll ever come back down) I don't think I'll ever come back down - not sure how this relates but this may have something to do with an 'ego' or him thinking he's above the 'person' the songs sang for. could be because of the relationship or something else that he grew the ego. She says, "Live up to your first impression" Well my best side was your worst invention Why can't you live without the attention? - she fell inlove with his first impression, he grew up/out of it/grew an ego (mentioned earlier) and because of the compliments or whatever she fed him, it was her fault, her worst invention? being so full of himself though he thinks he doesn't need to be as dependent, so she needs him more than he needs her. he asks why she can't live without the attention, like he can now. oh and 180 by summer. they intend to flip the relationship around by summer because its obviously not working out, but they both kinda want it to. or the relationship 'flipped' into the mess, and the song 'is set' in summer. i don't think the song tells the full tale of the relationship, just part of it. ---- so yea, whatever. its a nice song. |
