| Queen – Bicycle Race Lyrics

I was waiting till someone would point out albert hoffman and his bike... im not sure what all freddy was into, but i do know what the song says. Like hoffman, i think freddy just wants to ride the bike because hes tripped out by reality "Bicycle races are coming your way
So forget all your duties Oh yeah", freddy just wants to escape, like into an acid trip on a bike. whether or not the song is about acid, it is still about freeing your mind in some sense, which alot of people would also associate with acid so i think the correlation is blatent. anyways, i think the whole bisexual thing might have some small thing to do with it but for the most part its about living happy, free, and without worries, however you achieve it... |

| Primus – Frizzle Fry Lyrics
|
This song is obviously about heavy drug use. First clue would be the name, "Frizzle FRY", when someone takes acid they are frying. And then i agree with TheHeckler, when you come down from all the chemicals you have a really "fuck everything" attitude. then when he says
"Golden hair of macrame'
Against the face that's cut from stone
The white porcelain is screaming Ayee"
you can kinda take the imagry as literal, when someone is tripping or frying, and really in the throes of some hardcore hallucinations, the procelain counters in a bathrooms can seem like they are screaming at you, although white is often a symbol for coke, which someone would do off a porcelain counter or toilet. And then the face cut from stone is an obvious hallucination, when you are frying on acid or even mushrooms stone walls can have faces and other crazy stuff in them.
And as for "Barrington breathing", when you are tripping walls some times look like they are breathing in and out and so do buildings, they look alive. If Barrington is meant to be Barrington Hall at Berkley, its probably about frying and walking around the campus and seeing all this crazy stuff, ie barrington hall breathing, lots of college stundents do that.
"I do believe in captain crunch."
when you are tripping, certain things can seem amazing and godlike, ie believing in captain crunch could be some great idea that you rationalized in your tripped out state.
I dunno Meth is also known to cause hallucinations, because you stay up so long on it that you begin to get delerious, but if it was about meth, i dont think he would say fry. And back to the come down "fuck it all" attitude, this may seem like meth, but actually the come down from acid is often said to be worse than meth... i dunno just a few thoughts, what do yall think? This song is the shit anyways, one of primus' best. |

i think you hit the nail on the head tempestaSA... acid makes you wanna explore everything, but you can get a little crazy, "It doesn't matter, doesn't matter if I scare you". He doesnt care if he seems a little crazy cause hes infatuated with this girl, like with acid you become infatuated with reality and you dont care if you seem a little crazy. And like with acid, many people look for answers and truths in love. Corey Taylor is amazing, this song is amazing. |

I can see that, because summer is a time for growing. you have a few months to do nothing but reflect and hang out, and towards the end it seems endless and you start to get lost in yourself because you begin to "listen too close". I also think its about something deeper than that though, but its hard to figure it out, billy is very cryptic with his lyrics, but thats also why hes so amazing! |

if music is not analyzed, then its intended meaning may sometimes go un-noticed... dont be so lazy and get to know your music... |

I always thought it was "if you love your foot, die for it" Very good song. I dont think the meaning needs any explaining, if you look at the lyrics ever so slightly it will be appearant. |

This song is about so much, it surprises me to see no one has commented on it yet. "deflowered mother earth" Reminds me of Steinbeck's Graped Of Wrath, where he equates the plowing of earth to the rape of a woman. Its about how fucked up our world is, this is obvious. But as Maynard said, all songs have more than one meaning. |

Upon looking at other lyrics from this CD, it seems like he's either a huge hypocrite, or these lyrics are a satire and just making fun of people who think this way, ie the guy who says hes not racist and inturn calls someone GAY cock suckers. Just sayin. |

I must agree with Silent on this, these lyrics are weak. I mean ya they did some fucked up shit on 9-11 but I dont know it just rubs me the wrong way, I cant listen to this song, it makes me so mad. "Drop the bombs in... Drop the bombs in... Wipe out your muthafucking schemes Bring the troops in... Bring the troops in... Wipe out your minority" This lyric is so fucked up, its against all the other stuff max seems to speak. This song is weak and un-inspiring. Dont fight violence with violence, or death with death. Thats what i thought max was about, guess im wrong, guess i saw something in his words that just isnt there, born again anarchist my ass. |

Like Maynard said, all songs have 2 and 3 different meanings. There is the literal and easy to find meaning and then the metaphorical meaning. I think that its about both the end of the world and drinking, because if your life is all fucked up from alcohol, then it may seem like the end of the world. A few lines suggest and allusion to Jesus and Christianity. "a ring of needles", "Sedate Numb Deaf and Dumb", the "liquid embrace" could be refering to the wine/"blood of christ" that catholics drink at mass. But more than anything this song seems to be about alcohol, it seems to be the biggest theme. |

I don't understand whats up with that, i mean which do you think? The liberal message is good or bad? I really have to dissagree about the whole putting political messages into songs thing. The point of a song is so that the creator can get their ideas/point across. It's their voice and way of speaking out in a world where few listen unless you are in their position. They shouldn't change their music to apease the fans, the fan is a fan because they like the band, not the other way around. As for the song, it is awesome, i think the last line is by far the best line. Its not to cryptic to the point where you can't find the message but its not like that eminem song mosh which goes out and says fuck bush. |
