Those aren't exactly the lyrics.... WEAR holes through my brain I've got to SEE THE STARS We're the PHOENIX above the flame... Other than that, it's a pretty straight forward song. I wish it'd had been on the album just so more people could hear it, but then, it wouldn't have really fit. |

I think this song is about the need to succeed in the entertainment industry. Adoration only comes with being number one, and don't we all just want to be adored? The lines like "the spark in our eyes is digitized" are saying how manufactured it all is - on the one hand, you want so hard to be on the top, but on the other hand once you're there it's all asthetics. I also think he was being a little cheeky with the line "aren't we all ladies and gentlemen" |

I think it just romantizes the Kennedy's as jet setters...Not so much that he wants to be a Kennedy in perticular, that he wants the power and mystique that comes with it...right up until he dies young. Also, Waste-Of-Paint, don't get upset because someone heard a song and looked into it. It's not their fault that they heard a song somewhere and thought it was a girl singing because Mat has an effeminate voice...maybe they did look into Kill Hannah and saw a pic when Kerry was still in the band. Just be happy that they liked the song enough to post a comment about it. |

I think I read something where they were talking about the "curse" of Kill Hannah, asking what it was, and they said part of it was how they lost band members, including their drummer, who died (?). When I read that, I remembered an review someone did on them, mentioning the hardships the band has gone through...including losing a member to drug abuse. I don't know if those are actual facts, but I kinda put two and two together and figured that one of their old drummers (I know there's still an ex-drummer around somewhere) died of an over dose, and I tend to think that Sick Boy is him. It's probably a bunch of bullshit, but I think this song and A New Medicine are based a little on him....but, unlike Just A Tragedy, I probably AM stupid. |

I think a lot of the White Album was pushing the envelope, but since The Beatles were the first to do what they did, the letter box kept going. Also, fun fact: when I had insomnia, I used to listen to this song nearly twenty four hours straight. I would mumble the words under my breath and just walk around aimlessly. Now, everytime I can't sleep I throw the White Album on until I can. |

For those who don't know (ha!), Kill Hannah's name and song title is spawned from a turbulent relationship that lead singer Mat Devine had with a girl named Hannah. The ship ended badly, and in a fit of teen angst and musical talent, he wrote this song. |
