I Havent read all of the posts but i have read most of them, so i hope this hasnt already been said. I think song is about how it is to continue with your life after you lose the one that you love. You try to move on and date other girls, and they are perfect, so nice, beautiful but for some stupid reason you cant feel the way you want to about that person because you are still emotionally not there. And it sucks because had you met this person before your past relationship then it would be amazing, but instead you find some stupid reason not to let it go anywhere. For some reason, these beautiful, nice, funny, amazing people just dont mean anything to you. Thats just my opinion, does anyone else feel this way? |

The way i feel about this song is that he is missing the girl that he lost. The one that got away. He's talking about loneliness and a test for it, even though in his checklist he has opposite sex. He could either have another girlfriend, who doesnt really emotionally mean anything to him, or he could just have friends of the opposite sex, which would mean he is missing the realationship part of life. So to me thats whats missing, and im not sure if its not there at all or he is with someone who means nothing to him and is just there passing the time. |

I cant believe that no one has thought that this was about a relationship, because i believe it is. The stones part is obivious and has been stated, but roses from friends or flowers is usually given when something is wrong, ie breaking up. I think that a lot of these words are a little too personal to be friends, and wounds will mend where a broken heart is usually not mended so easily. |

This song is great, i'd like to think it means more that just him being away on tour possibly or just away for a little while. But there is one thing that is certain is that he cant stand being away from the girl that has been left behind. i guess its about being away from something that you really need and cant live without. I think that this song is about a couple that broke up for some reason. He didnt want to, but he knows that they were meant to be together forever. Once she said they would be together forever (like you said) And now he is saying that one day he'll be back on her street because somehow fate will have brought them back together. Even though they split up, they'll get back together just because they are meant to be together Great Song! |
