Angus and Julia Stone – Mango Tree Lyrics | 18 years ago |
this song is excellent. i think it's about childhood love and the freedom of youth - playing with all the kids in the street, and finding love at such a young age. |
Josh Pyke – Memories & Dust Lyrics | 18 years ago |
yeah it's a great song. i think it's about growing up too fast, and missing out on something as a result. "i saw two fall before they were ready to" sounds like he wants more time to enjoy what he's got before he has to move on in life and this becomes a memory. |
Sarah Blasko – Always On This Line Lyrics | 18 years ago |
my favourite song from 'what the sea wants, the sea will have'. it sums up her music pretty well: delicate, unassuming, and beeeautiful. the video is awesome. marry me sarah b. |
Coldplay – Til Kingdom Come Lyrics | 19 years ago |
i think this is the most original on X&Y, and i think it's the best. it's so simple, but it's such a great song. the songs on X&Y are pretty big, and they needed a track like this to settle the pace like 'green eyes' did on AROBTTH. it's too bad that this song is on the end as a hidden track |
Coldplay – Square One Lyrics | 19 years ago |
this is one of my favourites on X&Y... i think it's one of the most original. the lyrics are more inspired than others on X&Y, and how good are the thumping guitars in the chorus... |
Coldplay – X&Y Lyrics | 19 years ago |
i think this song is about trying to 'sort things out' - something like a relationship. chris martin has said that the album is partially about accepting that there are some things in life we'll never understand. that's why X & Y were used, they are two variables in mathematics... the things we are trying to find the answers to |
Moby – Raining Again Lyrics | 19 years ago |
this is my favourite song from moby since 'porcelain' and 'bodyrock'. this is definitely moby at his best. the chorus is as good as a chorus gets... uplifting and inspiring |
Something For Kate – Best Weapon Lyrics | 19 years ago |
something for kate's lyrics are awesome, and i think this is their best. i think this song is about war, and the ignorance of bureaucrats and world leaders. the line with 'wind them up' refers to the helpless soldiers, that are treated as if they don't exist, and they don't mean anything until they make the news in the paper. it's sad. i think 'history repeated' means that we never learn from war. this is a good song, but my fave sfk songs are 'three dimensions' and 'deja vu' |
Something For Kate – Reverse Soundtrack Lyrics | 20 years ago |
i can't believe no one has commented yet. this is one of something for kate's nicest songs "so you dance and you shuffle into the eye of the storm" it's also got a great chorus. it's an underrated gem |
John Mayer – Clarity Lyrics | 20 years ago |
the video to this song is excellent - crisp and as easy going as the song itself. it's as refreshing as a cold shower on a hot day haha |
Coldplay – Moses Lyrics | 20 years ago |
what a piece of work, it's another one of those great coldplay 'anthems'. Yeah, you're right, chris martin said this was about gwyneth. It's about him being at her mercy, and if she ever needed him he would always be there: "if the sky's gonna fall down let it fall on me if you're gonna break down you can break on me" |
