I think this song goes more with human charecteritics, like a lot of people when thinking peer out the window or go out onto the balcony possibly to look at the stars or whatever is out there. Most of the time when poeple are doing this they're sad, they're thinking. Maybe Dave is sad about somthing and he's looking out the window looking down at the world. And looking back at Dave's past songs and quotes he possibly is thinking of the state of the world and the u.s. but now he cant do anything. Maybe....after kerry lost dave thought it was out of his hands for now, he did what he could. mayeb the pis is bush, hur,, I don't know really. |

This is a great new Dave song with a great African yet American vibe to it, just liek Dave 'emself. The lyrics remind me a lot of Crash. I think that yes, this song is not the best our kings have summined up BUT it certainly has a DMB feel to it, in fact this song makes me feel as if it belongs to the Everyday album. I do enjoy this song very much thought cause after listening to it, it becomes so clear that this is another one of those awesome songs that the entire group put heart in soul into. Plus Dave Heads, no worries, because as we all know from the past, that the radio singles are almost NEVER the best songs on the cd, there simply the songs that DMB thinks the public would enjoy most so stay tear free for I thing "Stand Up"(new album) has some great things in store for us! if you are in any doubt go download Joy Ride and sugar will plus many other new songs from www.weeklydavespeak.com !!! and yes, obviously this is another one of DMB's genius patriotic |

| This song IS about Good Friday it speaks of Jesus Christ being nailed to the cross "...you hung me out to dry" or "hung out like a wet rag." The Spoon and spoon sturring my coffee is where when you stir ur coffee with a spoon u will see a relflecttion of that spoon and the spoon and it's reflection cross over making the apperance of the cross..... This song hit me hard because my firast time hearing it was on Good Friday, and once I heard it, the lyrics became so clear, if u read it with good friday in mid, it will all make sense..and if u dont beilve me grab some coffee and a spoon | |
