Trouble with You Lyrics
The brightest star on a cloudless night,
Some kind of miracle almost empty sky.
In fact your god is a monkey's dream,
Aint that much room to believe what he see.
The trouble with you is you always want to find the fire,
Instead of warming your hands by the fireside.
The trouble with you always look'n way outside,
Oh why not enjoy yourself by the fireside.
Just like the bite of the blade wakes the absent mind,
There's time to dream and there's time to open your eyes.
She said, just let the warmth of a kiss brings the love alive,
It's right here by the fire where the answers lie.
The trouble with you is you always want to find the fire,
Oh when you're warming your hands by the fireside.
The trouble with you always look'n way far and wide,
Oh why not enjoy yourself by the fireside.
She said, why you always look'n, always look'n,
She said, why you always look'n outside?
She said-
The trouble with you is you always want to find the fire,
Oh when you're warming your hands by the fireside.
The trouble with you always look'n way far and wide,
Oh why not enjoy yourself by the fireside.
The trouble with you is you're always look'n somewhere else,
Oh is what you see there inside yourself.
The trouble with you is you always want to find the fire,
Oh why not enjoy yourself by the fireside.
Oh why not enjoy yourself by the fireside.
She said- Oh why not enjoy yourself sit'n by the fire.
She said- trouble with you,
Trouble with you,
She said-
Some kind of miracle almost empty sky.

This is a great new song by DMB off of the bonus disc of Stand Up. I think it's kind of one of Dave's religious songs....but anyways it's a great mellow song that'll make ya think about what you're doing or where you're going..
made me think of where im headed and where those around me seem to be going . . deep yet simple song
lol, I definatly heard this song wrong. I like the way I heard it better though, haha...j/k. When I was listening on the CD I heard:
The brightest star on a cloudless night, Some kind of miracle almost in disguise. In fact your god is a monkey's dream, Ate that mushroom and believed what he see.
lol...so a bit off...either way, its a great song.
I think the lyrics are wrong and it's
"In fact sure as God is a monkey's dream There aint that much room to believe what he see."
in this song dave is asking someone why there are trying to find the fire when its right there. you should take advantage of what you have instead of looking for something else
"If fact sure as god is a monkey's dream Ate that mushroom and believed what he'd seen"
I think the song is about people in general who are always looking for more in life, instead of just enjoying what we have been given..
