it seems a lot of rk's songs as of recent are about living a life you don't want to, or a life you thought you wanted to but find meaningless now. But I'm not dead yet, I'm still breathing." i think is those lyrics, jenny (or blake, whoever wrote the song) is talking about someone who is doing what they want and having no regrets about their life and is making good friends and living to the fullest, etc etc, and the writer is jealous of them. |

this is song is like the most addictive song EVER. i could listen to it all day. i think it's about being in love with someone but not really knowing who they are, and at the same time being annoyed with them because they're fake and distant and trying to act cooler than they are. and the person you love isn't okay with themselves, so you try to reassure them that it's okay and no one's perfect, blah blah blah. basically i think it's about having a whole bunch of different feeling for someone, and having waited for the 'real' them for a long time and now it's their turn to wait. idk? |

k so, this is the story: jenny (or the narrator, whatever) is talking to her friend, and she's really excited because she's been writing to this man who's she's in love with, and he's married and going to come see her soon (in california). later, her friend calls her, and tells jenny that she heard her husband on the phone saying "baby i love you and i'll leave her and i'm coming out to california." so, jenny's been having an affair with her friend's husband and she didn't even know it. pretty much what everyone else said, but eh. it's a lot like a soap opera, i think. i love it. <3 |
