It seems to be about how destructive to society blind hatred can be but from the point of view of the attackers who are oblivious to the destruction they are causing. The riffs are pretty cool too. Great headbanger song. |

Those lyrics are litteral. In an interview Matt said he was sitting in his room wasting away and thinking about how someone you love can hurt you so much. When my girlfriend left I cried along with this song many times so I can tell you those lyrics capture the feeling exactly. Matt will always be my favorite lyricist and singer. |

I'll have to agree with RockingGroove as to what the song is about. As for the song itself its got a great beat and very touching lyrics. Plus the backing vocals of Vicki Calhoun really make the song what it is. She has a beautiful voice and it really shows on this song yet nobody seems to give her credit for that and I haven't even heard anything about her joining a band to sing lead which is a shame. Sorry for cluttering the song space with that but I felt that someone had to give her credit. |

It makes me think of losing the love of your life to some other guy and then killing the other guy. Its not something one would actually do but sometimes the sadness can be so intense that one can easily relate to the lyrics. |

This is a great song but it is really brought to life by Matt's incredible voice and singing ability. My theory is that its about being in a tight spot in your life and needing to get out but having a difficult time doing so. I know that Matt tried a few hard drugs before Skeletons was recorded and I think he wrote this about the short lived drug phase that he needed to quit. I can totally relate to the lyrics since I've been in bad spots before too. |
