Good song....I think it's talking about how despite the risks he still tries, because that's what living's all about. If he fails, well then he'll die but he'll be free as he is now. |

She felt like nothing but now that she's met this wonderful person, the love of her life, she realizes the beauty in life and feels wonderful. |

It's talking about maturity, and how now she's where she wants to be, doing what she wants to do, with who she wants to be with. "She feels the ever after" and "this is my [her] eutopia". Just lovely, as all of the songs on Harmonium are (: |

I really do love both of her albums, especially the second one. And this song...just magnificent. It's like, what do they know about our love? If they don't realize how much we love each other, then they don't know anything about us because this is our world. It talks about how "and you say we're too young but maybe you're too old to remember..". So true. People can forget how strong love can be, they can forget that even young people can fall deeply in love...and even if it won't last, they should just let it be, because it's beautiful for the time being, and kids need to learn to make their own mistakes.

Yeah, I do think it's about suicide..as one of my favorite quotes is from The Wheel of Time, "Duty is heavier than a mountain, death lighter than a feather." Suicide is, in a lot of cases, the easiest way out. Maybe when she's "flying in slow motion" over the wreckage, it's her soul looking at her former life...looking at the wrecked car and her body within...she's a spirit now. I don't know... |
