| James Morrison – Undiscovered Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
It's about someone quiet who people think is lost or uncomfortable or out of their depth. This song shows that is not true, they are really waiting for someone to realise their true potential and get to know their real personality. It's an optimistic song, unassuming at the beginning but with so much power at the end. |

kristin10185 - that is actually similar to the way I was starting to interpret it. Your interpretation makes so much sense. I think this song is to do with the ultimate betrayal by everyone around you that you trusted (taken from the lines "eveyone I knew was waiting on a cue" "who's still watiting when it clears", caused by a love interest of one of those people (taken from the words "she's on your mind") and that one person is the person that was most special to you or who you were most friendly with and now have the biggest problem with ("I wish you were a stranger I could disengage" "I suddenly become a part of your past"). But this song could also be interpreted in so many other ways. I love it. |

| James Blunt – You're Beautiful Lyrics | 20 years ago |

It means what most people have said. I think he has seen a girl from across the room, he really likes her, he thinks she's beautiful but knows because of her boyfriend he will never be with her. I think this is about more of a phyrical attraction, but it can definitely relate to when you have more than a physical attraction to a person. http://www.hyperlaunch.com/jamesblunt/ - this has a media sampler, I think I will be buying this cd. I am confused about the lines "She was with another man, But I won't lose no sleep on that, 'cos I have got a plan." I think maybe he thought he had a plan, was hoping for the best but then comes to the realisation he will never be with her. " There must be an angel with a smile on her face, When she thought up that I should be with you. But its time to face the truth, I will never be with you. " I am also confused about those two lines. Maybe the same thing? The constant feeling that just *maybe* you will be with them, but then realising that you never will be, then *maybe* you will and it hitting hard again that you never will be. :( |

| Thirsty Merc – Someday, Someday Lyrics | 21 years ago |
|
The first few verses are self explanatory - they're both busy and he's going to be spending more time away from home, but he wants her to know that he loves her, thinks about her and that their relationship will work. I don't understand the repitition of "someday, someday I will be here babe / Someday, someday I will be the one babe." Isn't her already the one? Isn't that what he's telling her? Repeating 'someday someday' makes it sound like it's far off and not certain. I seem to think these choruses contradict the first 2 verses somewhat. |

| Delta Goodrem – Extraordinary Day Lyrics | 21 years ago |

Taken from Delta’s track by track commentary on bonus DVD, Delta Goodrem – Mistaken Identity, Sony Music (Australia), 2004. “was the day I got diagnosed, before anyone else knew, July 8th, the day I got told that the word cancer was into my life and this song is such an important song on the album as well, it’s such, it’s such, builds the colour of it because I felts that I have to, I have to be honest, I’ve got the tracks like a little too late which are really upbeat and I’m singing and everything but you know what, I didn’t have the best year, I didn’t enjoy it and frankly this day was an extraordinary day of my life so I wrote about it, extraordinary day, July 8.” |

Taken from Delta’s track by track commentary on bonus DVD, Delta Goodrem – Mistaken Identity, Sony Music (Australia), 2004. “was such a defining moment for the album… say somebody who’s had a really outrageous pastime or they’ve been really out there and had a partying life and now they’re like, they’re working somewhere where they don’t want to think about that they can say well, it’s a terrible case of mistaken identity because I’ve really moved on.” |

| Delta Goodrem – Out of the Blue Lyrics | 21 years ago |
|
Taken from Delta’s track by track commentary on bonus DVD, Delta Goodrem – Mistaken Identity, Sony Music (Australia), 2004. “We did a really big production because … I wanted to go big and it’s got trumpets in it and it’s got a huge chorus but I just um I still feel it’s a really relatable track about someone coming into your life and bringing you out of the blue into a special place” It is widely known that this song is about Delta’s relationship with Mark Philippousis. |
