I love this song. My fave line has got to be "The wound has left a scar but i still breathe just to be with you" But also i agree with i_am_gelos, i love the line 'close my eyes and meditate my death' |

I can't *believe* nobody has left any comments on any of her songs! This is the only one i've actually heard, i think it's awsome. I heard it at the end of The Crow. So i had to get The Crow soundtrack. Normally i wouldn't listen to stuff like this but as its on the crow its an exception. The first spoken bit kind of reminds me of death. I'm not religious. But i guess it could be about the 'walk' to heaven "We walk the narrow path" "it won't rain all the time, the sky wont fall forever" Seems to be there could be something bad happening, but it will pass. "though the night seems long" Perhaps they are refering the awful thing to night time. So it may seem very long like it will go on forever but it won't. "Your tears won't fall forever" You will get over it. Just give it time. (I think the bad thing that is happening is that a loved one has gone away for a while, and she is worried that the love will eventually wear away.) "Last night I had a dream. You came into my room, you took me into your arms." She really loves this person and is dreaming that they will some back and hold her. "Whispering and kissing me, and telling me to still belive." Perhaps telling her to still believe in their love. "Until I felt safe and warm. I fell asleep in your arms." She trusts this person and feels comfortable with them. "When I awoke I cried again for you were gone" She wakes up and realises it was just a dream and her loved one wasnt there at all. "Oh, can you hear me?" Can her loved one hear her crying out for her. |

This is my favourite stone sour song. As soon as i got this album this song just seemed to throw it's self at me. "I can't betray myself" - to me it seems that there is somethinhe did do this thing he would be betrg he wants to do. Or there is something he really believes in and wont let anything stand on the way of that, if he did he would be betraying himself and what he believes in. "I stand before you as a victim, as the system rots I couldn't focus, so I staggered when I heard the shots" Maybe he feels weak? as he is a victim. I think that the song is basicly about him having to choose between betraying himself and giving in. or standing up for himself. |
