| The Darkest of the Hillside Thickets – Going Down to Dunwich Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| This is an ode to the H.P. Lovecraft story "The Dunwich Horror". A wicked family gives birth to an evil child. The mother, grandfather and the rapidly aging, disgusting son, call forth an invisible monster that reaches havoc on the countryside of Dunwich. | |
| Black Sabbath – Eternal Idol Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
One of the few classic Sabbath songs from the Tony Martin era. This is from the point of view of a person questioning the awful around him. With so much pain, suffering and moral corruption can there be a God? He decides that about all people; "[God is] not one thing, We are his spirit". It is our responsibility to save the world from it's current state. The people of the world need to rise up and make the world better, get rid of the corruption that has affected our leaders. |

| Black Sabbath – Junior's Eyes Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| My favorite song on Never Say Die. Like The Dish said, this is about the loss of Ozzy's father. | |
| Black Sabbath – Computer God Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| The album was released in 1992, so the first two Terminator movies came out. Matrix didn't come out until 1998, though. | |
| Dio – Sign of the Southern Cross Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
This is a Black Sabbath song done when Dio was their singer for the Mob Rules album. It was written by Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Dio. I see it as the speaker wishing for everyone to "make [your] life your treasure". The imagery in the song are the wonderful things we can find in life and our own imaginations, if we just search for it. |

| Black Sabbath – Walpurgis Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| Walpurgis was recorded by Black Sabbath, so it's their song. "Walpurgis" was more or less a demo that the band later adapted into "War Pigs". Ozzy dug out one of his old Sabbath tapes and released it in his best-of compilation The Ozzman Cometh making clear it was an old Black Sabbath track. | |
| Opeth – Weakness Lyrics | 21 years ago |

I think he also who gives away his heart (his soul?) to a woman who becomes much more than she seems. "Weaker now, drawing fluid from me/ You kill me" She later becomes a vampire (demon) and kills him. |
