| MTV is a tool of the conservitive corparations and politicel organizations, they use it too distract young people from real issues. sometime these same people have also found MTV to useful as a politicle scapegoat that they can call as the reason for any number of youth problems (admittently MTV spreads a culture of stupidity, but i think that this is intentional, as onley complete fucktards could be stupid enugh to support president Bush and the organization which controlls him) so Moron TV is owned by a media conglormerate which is in all likelyness run by conservitives at the top level, so this is a not so subtle form of mind controll. also the point has been made by other commentors on this site that MTV destroys subculters, it mainstreams them it waters them down. exactly. by wussifying the subculture (such as punk or heavy metal) the subculter's power is taken away, punk is supossed to be extremly politicle and extraordinarily anti-establishment, but MTV has created Pop Punk, which as has been stated before is as politicle as a cabbage. (damn straight.) so by nullifiying any given movement that these politicians dont like MTV promotes the near fascist sense of conformity that these dominonists want.
