Dunno what the hell you people are listening to, these lyrics are pretty acurate for me, other than him just saying pizza twice in a few parts.. But I think this song is just about how we listen so much to what other people tell us and don't make decisions for ourselves, which cause a lack of creativity & originality. In this case, I guess it would be what's for dinner..instead of creating a nice meal all from scratch, you call someone up and say "I want _______". |

I agree, this song is probly about how bad the world has become. But, maybe "God knows it aint his" is just pushing at people who are prejudice against religion (there's a name for them but I can't remember it now). "If you can judge a wise man By the color of his skin " is obviously poking at racists. "You can't help yourself from falling" might be refering to how prejudism and racism and sexism and all that is there, and how most people ARE prejudice and stuff, so it's not hard to become it yourself. I'm in love with this song, one of my favorite Aerosmith songs. :D |

Most bands that don't like Led Zeppelin are either envious of their amazing skill, or amount of fans they had, or maybe the band just wasn't on drugs when they listened to Zeppelin so they didn't understand any of it (jk!!) I can understand the Robert Plant and Jimmy Page insults..but John Bonham?! I find it somewhat rude to insult the BEST drummer to ever live, even more insulting since he's dead. Yes, yes, punk is about having fun (my friends call me punk but I don't really consider myself it...but then again, they also call me goth...and freak...and "hey you", or "her", and...) but fun DOES NOT include insulting a dead guy, the second best guitarist to ever live (hendrix coming first), and the most amazing singer ever. And they sort of forgot to diss John Paul Jones..but that's a good thing, since he's an awesome bass guitarist. P.S. it's spelled Jimmy Page lol |

By far this is lyrically the best Nirvana song :D I'm not too sure about "doll steak", but test meat might have to do with taking a risk. Eating meat that's raw isn't too healthy, neither is suicide. "Angel left wing right wing broken wing" sounds like once "died" he tried to get into heaven, until they found a flaw in him and pushed him out. "Lost eyesight I'm not your side" may mean that he doesn't know where he is, so he'll stay on any side, risk or none. "I am my own parasite I don't need a host to live We feed off of each other We can share our endorphins" might mean that he's trying thinking about being independent and trying to choose his own choices I'm not truly sure bout that though. This song definetly has more than one meaning. And, I agree - this song, lyrically, is Nirvana's best! :D |

I believe the Beatles did drugs, but that doesn't mean I think every song is about drugs. A lot of their songs were not about being ON drugs, but rather ideas that came to them WHILE they were on drugs. If anything, Paul might have been on drugs while fixing the hole, which would have been an odd sight, but I don't think this song is about drugs. He also might have written it about keeping his mind off of things happening around him. The people around him are arguing off of his opinion, and he doesn't like it. So he "fixes the whole" in his mind that keeps him from saying his opinion. The rain that gets in might be other opinions trying to convince him his are wrong. I really doubt I'm right though.... Cool song though |

Green Day hasn't just gone politcal, but it sounds like they're getting a bit depressed. Another thing that bugs me is when people say "Oh my god!!! Green Day is my favorite band!!!" yet, they've only heard American Idiot and Boulevard Of Broken Dreams. Can they *at least* say "Oh my god!!! The New Green Day is my favorite band!!!" because the old Green Day is different. Green Day would have been better off trying to re-make the stolen album.... But, yet again, that's only my opinion. |

Supossedly, John says "shoot me" at the beginning, but the word "me" is covered up by the bass' line. It's probly just another one of those "Beatles myths". I also heard somewhere that the line "Hold you in his armchair you can feel his disease" refers to Franklin D. Roosevelt, who was in a wheelchai, but I don't think that's true....oh well. I've heard the Aerosmith version, it's good, but, not as good as the original version. Anywayz, I agree, this is one of the Beatles' greatest songs. |
