Also just to show they weren't making this song for money, I heard the violinist and one other member of Yellowcard was in the Twin Towers when it happened. And the fireman that saved him just kept telling him over and over: "Everything is gonna be alright, everything is gonna be alright." This song was their sincere Thank You. This is still one of my favorite songs. Ever. |

I’m actually about to say something intelligent.
I think this song is about the duality of their celebrity. Some people will listen to this song and love how its mocking the cutters who do things to fit in. The goth kids who would rather be paint pretty flowers and all the other losers. They’re mocking the fact that 6 years ago only Backstreet boys and N’SYNC would have been as popular as they are now and half (at least) of their fans would be listening to them instead if puck and rock wasn’t so big now. They may actually be making fun of MySpace and all the IDIOTS who really think they have 2,476 friends. Like MCR and FOB are really your friends. Plus David Ruffin let the fame get to him and changed who he was. He became egotistical and bull-headed. FOB’s not letting that happen.
Then there’s the other people who are listening to this song and think the “ribbon on my wrist” is the gift of music and are just so happy they can two step to a new FOB song. You know the idiots who think Grand Theft Autumn is about Vice City.

This song is great! The first song I heard from him about 2 years ago and I still love it.
It's about that girl (or guy for the ladies) that we've all had in our lives at one time or another. You love them to death and really wish you could get together but they only give you the time of day when its convientient for them. And they use you again and again. |

Hangoverguy is an idiot. This song wasn't made to make money but rather to pay homage to those brave individuals who sacrificed their lives so that others could live. This wasn't even a single and it's agruably the best song on the album. You had to buy the album to even find out about the song. So don't try to bring them down for what they were trying to do. Even on the site it simply says its about 9/11. Nothing extra. They just wanted to pay their respects maybe you should have some...

I agree. It's about a breakdown in communication and somebody wanting more attention but not expressing it properly. Thus leading to a repetitive melodrama where you end up saying the same things over and over trying to understand what it is your girl/man wants.
