well, sure, everyone's talking about zombies NOW... but when did they write this record? 2000? ish? it wasn't cliche then! we all know that ATDI was way ahead of their time. |

| Pedro the Lion – The Bells Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Oh, but the Prodigal Son is an excellent thing to be reminded of by this song! The story is basically about the same thing as this song. | |

Um, hello? Are you people serious? Isn't it obvious what this song is really about? Zombies. Plain and simple. Zombies. "Feeding frenzy, it's contagious." That says it all. It talks about a conspiring virus, an outbreak. What kind of outbreak causes a contagious feeding frenzy? That's right. A zombie outbreak. |

| Indian Summer – Angry Son Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| psh. today's emo sucks. bands like mineral, christie front drive, the appleseed cast (circa end of the ring wars), and of course indian summer are and were what emo should be. today's emo like the used and mcr and etc suck really hard. | |
| Fall Out Boy – Save Your Generation (Jawbreaker cover) Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| okay, i think it's pretty obvious that Fall Out Boy, the villainous gits, have taken this song, kicked it in the crotch, stepped on its face, and spat on its children while they watched. seriously, they murdered this song. why the crap did they add the line from Boxcar in there? why did they add the horrible "whoa whoa whoa" thing in there?!?! have Fall Out Boy even heard the original song? if they have, they should be ashamed. | |
| Big & Rich – Comin' To Your City Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| this song is retarded. i'm no marilyn manson fan, but there's no way big & rich could scare him. you know. 'cause they suck. | |
| At the Drive-In – Intermission Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| dang, man, this.... this whatever it is, since it's not a song, is freaking weird. they must have been high. seriously. not that that's a bad thing. well, okay, getting high is a bad thing. don't do it, boys and girls. but it's not a bad thing that this came out of it. oh, dang. hee-larious. | |
| Straylight Run – Mistakes We Knew We Were Making Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| This song's not really about breaking away from TBS, but of considering it. He doesn't want to do TBS style angry-at-a-girl style music anymore, but he's afraid to leave what he has, to destroy what he's helped build. But he's convinced himself that wondering "what if" is the worse than trying and failing. | |
| Thrice – That Hideous Strength Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
holy crap. you guys are so immature it's insulting to me, to thrice, to mankind. honestly. i know how much people hate it when people say that a thrice song is about God or religion or something. but honestly, i think this song is obviously about believing, and wanting to share the message with others so much, but your words are lost and nobody cares. it's about hoping that that fact won't keep you down, that it's not your words but your faith that matters, your faith in a "truth that supercedes the mind of man," or, is too great and wonderful to properly comprehend. this song is about trying to stay on that straight and narrow path to heaven despite overwhelming odds against you. |

| Thrice – Deadbolt Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
i say this song is about alcoholism. it could be crime, or perhaps drugs, but i think it's alcoholism. the "stolen water" is alcohol, the "deadbolt" awakening the person is him leaving at four in the morning, and the "deja vu dreams" just mean that this has happened before. "out running red lights asleep at the wheel" is saying tghat he's running past those who try to help him, and that he's no longer in control of his life. "drink it in the darkness" means in secret, i say. he's at a crossroads in his life, and he's been there before. he knows that he shouldn't do it again, but he's not strong enough and does it anyway. his true love could be anything; the people around him, his life, his religion, his mind, etc. but he's too addicted to heed their warnings. he does, though, feel remorse. he's sorry for what he's done, even though he continues to do it. when he says that "we are all those who thought we were brave" he says that everyone has done something because they thought they could handle it, but got caught up in everything. that's my take. i'm actually surprised that no one else thought of that. it seemed obvious to me. oh well. |

| Thursday – Cross Out The Eyes Lyrics | 20 years ago |

i love this song. i love this band. i don't know what this song means, however, i can offer some interpretation of symbolism. first, i think that the dove being caught in the telephone wire is saying that even if we want peace, somehow it will always be brutally and violently taken away from us. the canvas, i think, symbolizes a young life being ruined. a blank canvas can become anything, but this one was torn from the wall before it could take shape. that's about all i've got for this song. i'm sure there's more, as Geoff is a briliant lyricist, but that's all i can think of right now. maybe next time. |

| Thursday – Understanding In A Car Crash Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
there are too many posts here for me to read them all. so i don't know if this has been said or not; it probably has, but i'll say it anyway. this is quite obviously a song about Geoff losing a loved one in a car crash and not being able to let go of them. the broken windows and open locks haunt his memories, and he relives it every day (crashing the car every day). he relives following the white lines (the ones on the road) to the sunset (sunset symbolizing the end). he's staring at the sunset (the end) and doesn't see a reason to not remember it. perhaps the needle could be drugs, but i think it is the needle of a record player when the record ends. "a red letter," (a bloody broken person) "marked 'return to sender'" (meaning dying and going home to meet God. perhaps Geoff was still religious to some degree at this point). something that paints the world in red and broken glass is destroying their lives, covering the street in blood and glass. this is an incredibly sad song, meant to help Geoff deal with the loss of a loved one through a painful catharsis. that's my thoughts. |
