i love this song but it makes me cry. its about loving someone you can't be with anymore. things used to be great, and there is still that memory (the photo on the shelf), but they haven't been that way for a long time (grey ceiling) and although he has apologized and put a lot of thought into things, she thinks he is being childish. but essentially, he knows what he is doing, and while he hates himself for hurting her because he never wanted to, he made a decision. he is upset that she still blames him and can't listen. however, he hopes she too will come to the same conclusion, realise that he never meant to hurt her. the main part that gets me is "I said I'm sorry , but for? If you only know how much I love you, love you" it is possible to break up with soemone you love, and it will make you hate yourself. |

this song reminds me of my ex-boyfriend. he kept playing it after we broke up. it was unnerving. its about being hurt by someone he thought he knew. she is still around, and it hurts to see her because she is completely different. he can't understand how the girl he knew before is the same or how she could have ever loved him since she is so cold now. he is afraid she never did care. he is confused and full of pain at the thought of her. |
