Actually, john didn't known what title he should give to this song, and he was reading an article about Iris Dement, a songwriter, and he thought it was a beautiful name, so he just put it there although it has nothing to do with the lyrics or with his feelings. Whenever i listen to this song, i just feel there are moments and situations in our lives that we can't let go, we have to take advantage of the way things happen, because they don't just happen, there's always a reason, and if we don't do what we're supposed to, we'll probably end up regretting it...I realize now that too many times I've fucked things up, and well, this song gives me a little hope: "the past is gone, but something might be found to take it's place!" |

I don't know, to me it means like something that unfortunately is happening to me. it's like when you're in love with someone and you really don't know if that person loves you back, but you start to realize everything you do you do it for that person, and everytime you think, you think of that person and so and so, and you keep on hoping that someday you'll make him/her love you, so he/she becomes your reason for living. |

Yeah, it's so funny...you're like laughing out loud and then suddenly BOOM! he starts singing his heart out, *sigh* with that voice...it's like the sweetest voice ever, it just melts in your ears and you want to sing but at the same time you don't want to spoil the moment, and I just feel like crying whenever I hear it. Really, the lyrics are great so BRAVO Elton John, but it's Ewan McGregor's voice that really gets me sentimental, you can really tell that Christian is in love! |

Well, I think like most of the Goo's songs,it's like a big great "Fuck off" to the world. that's waht I really love about them, they can sing out their feelings but they also keep bombing our ears with questions about where society goes. I love them , they're seriously my favorite band, and this was their first song i ever heard, so I love it! |
