| Keane – Can't Stop Now Lyrics
|
the speaker has been holding out for someone to return the love he has been putting out there. he finally figures out he has to go on living his life, and is letting go of this love he's been holding on to, by making it seem like he's letting the other person down gently, rather than being hurt himself.
he's just realizing he's neglecting other parts of his life by putting so much energy into someone who doesn't want him back, or someone who is trying to just keep him around for whenever they feel like having somebody. |

| Gwen Stefani – What You Waiting For? Lyrics

to jessthink:
I don't think Gwen is using the asian thing as a gimmick. I think that it's obvious she's always been into other cultures, but No Doubt's image is a little different from the image that she's projecting as a solo artist. This is just a chance for her to pay homage to the Japanese culture that she is currently obsessing over. People do it all the time, she's not trying to cheapen the culture by buying into a trend. She's just trying to express her current interest in it. |
