Seth's part of this song is so amazing. I know exactly how he feels and what he is talking about. He is talking about the music industry and how the Avetts are gonna have to start trying to be more mainstream. Not selling out..but just getting big. Columbia said they arn't going to mess with the art of the Avett's but i'm sure they might have an input. Either way I don't see how the Avett's could write a song I don't like so whatever is good with me. Seth sees it and is like "damn, if we wanna play music for the rest of our lives and do what we truly love we gotta do this" got to pay the bills somehow. "I hope the people in the crowd will understand" Best line of the song. Saying "I hope the people who know us before we get huge will be ok with us being the best band in the world" I say keep it up Avetts, they have nowhere to go but up. |
