How can there not be more comments about this song? It's so damn beautiful, and the lyrics are great. And I agree, about the loss of love. |

I gotta say, this song reminds me of Don Henley's Boys of Summer. The whole feeling of nostalgia. |

god, my mom used to sing this song to me when I was a little kid, as well as the hanging tree. kind of fucked up choice of songs, but I loved them so much. this song has memories, which is what it's all about, right? I Love it. |

this song is so damn good. way ahead of it's time. it's almost like an early mercyful fate, although not satanic. I'm solely referring to the vocals. way cool |

| Dark Tranquillity – Indifferent Suns Lyrics

I don't know, but the whole chorus seems, to me anyways, to be saying that we're not the only intelligent life. "All along we keep staring at the sun. closing our minds, saying we are the ones." to me, that's just saying that sure, maybe the sun revolves around us, but as the song is titled, the sun is indifferent. that's just my take on it.. |

yeah, I just wanted to add that the lyrics are "I'm NOT the lover man you want me to be" and also that this song kicks so much fucking ass, of course.

I like the line:

Got her legs in the air
An' asked if she had any cooties in there
It's a great song though. very funny. zappa's great |

It has nothing to do with America, since Amon Amarth are from Scandinavia. they do, however, have some pretty cheesy lyrics, but some of their songs are pretty damn cool. Especially the Victorious March. |

pure, unadulterated SHIT. I could use my mic and sound recorder program and have a much better cover. this song makes me want to take knives to my ears, and pop my eardrums.

this version isn't nearly as good as the original. how could you ditch that Beautiful piano, and replace it with a guitar? I don't understand. and they vocals have too much fx, unlike the original. this version just doesn't do it for me. thumbs down

I just listened to this version for the first time. thought it was ok, I don't really care for the vocal fx. I prefer the csny version, even over the beatles', it's just so comforting. though, I think this song should be done straightforward, just a guitar, and absolutely no fx. mind you, with a really good singer. I think that would really do this song justice.

| Iced Earth – The Coming Curse Lyrics

the whole trilogy is pretty obvious as to what it's about. no aliens. it's about a species, doesn't give them a name, but they inhabited earth long before humans ever did. man came, and killed most of them off. they've disguised themselves, trying to fit in, waiting for the "chosen" one to be born. in the coming curse, the chosen one was born, and has come to take back what was rightfully theirs.

I agree with arm. horrible cheesy, not very poetic really, unless you're a goth, I guess. the vocals can be pretty good though, except I find tarja's voice can lose feeling on some of the more meaningful songs due to it being so comforting. like your mother singing to you sort of. sort of, I said. and that Phil Anselmo shot was quite funny

Jesus, I remember when Danzig was good. Back with the original line-up. This song makes me want to punch the guy in the face, set him straight. He needs to call up Christ and Biscuits, Von too, and get things good again. Wouldn't that be the day? This album and. . .shit, I don't even recall the name of the eighth at the moment, but they were both nu-metal shit. Danzig's capable of better. |

Woah, where are the comments to one of the best songs by the best band? Well, back when it was the original line-up anyway.
There seems to be a line missing. After the line "All this world and its glories," should come "And its sins"
It seems pretty clear to me that this song is about selling your soul to the devil, just a little more subtle and cleverly written than some.
Kick ass song. Danzig Rules and Maiden's Forever! |
