I think it could be both a relationship song or a depression song. First could be a relationship song because it could be about having problems with someone you know whether it's a lover, friend or family.Most relationships are complex and this is a good song to compare that to. This could even mean a relationship with depression. It could be like being alone at home and it's like talking to yourself, having a conversation with your emotions. And of course, it can also just be about plain depression and how this person is the only one that sees it. |

I love this song ... it's so sad because it's me and my exboyfriend's theme song after we broke up. I think it's about a girl and guy who did have a relationship and it didn't work out but obviously, the girl still loves him but she doesn't know if the guy wants her the same way. She's trying to start things again but she's confused so she's letting him have his silence while she tries to figure things out and all she can really do is reminisce about how they use to be. I think though that the reason they didn't work out in the first place was because the girl didn't know what she wanted hence that "SHE missed the train". I don't think she was ready to be with him yet and now she's regretting the fact that they had something so good and now it's gone. She's just in denial of everything -> "It’s cool baby It doesn’t matter anyway " She's trying but she can't let go. Man would I ever love to perform this song. |

This is one of my favourite songs of all time. I don't think this song is about drugs. And as Chub said, there are drug references but it's a love song because it's using the drug refercences as metaphores to falling in love. For those who thought that "grey" was suppose to be "grave". It could be either but since here it's "grey" .. it can still mean the grave because it could symbolize a rose touching a gravestone. In further detail: This guy is taking a drug and I'm assuming that this drug is making him feel more relaxed and calm, like they are dead. So this "rose" comes and touches a gravestone(like someone putting flowers on a gravestone) and it shows that even though this guy has a feeling so beyond what he ever thought he could feel, he can still feel this rose touch him hence "My eyes become large and the light that you shine can be seen." Does that make sense? Sorry if it doesnt, I guess I understand it more in my head rather than explaining it LOL |

| I love how the lyrics keep changing point of views. Sometimes it's in third person then first person. I think that by doing that it shows that this song can relate to any human being who feels like they crash and burn. LIke Sincerity said ... failure but with a sense of being proud since that was one of the main lyrics in the song. | |
