Thanks MajinCloud, I'm glad that we finally have G's best friend dropping in for insights on here. It's about time that someone who followed him around all summer is finally speaking up. |

There is no actual suicide. It's just a metaphor: Jimmy, the martyr/saint, ends is rebellious stage and goes back to white collar life...hence "jesus filling out paperwork" in homecoming |

I just finished Lullaby, also by Palahniuk, and lead female is so thirsty for power and alos love from someone who can't accept her and she dies while eating diamonds: "If you ever say never too late.
I'll forget all the diamonds you ate." Its gotta be an ode to chuck |

| My Chemical Romance – The Jetset Life Is Gonna Kill You Lyrics

I think this song is defeintly about addiction and suicide with constant talks of "holding on" and "the last night" and "when the cops come".. also i tihnk the line might be "You've SMOKED this chamber dry" as a drug reference, and this "Jetset lifestyle" is a drug reference i belive... hotel bella muerte i belive means the hotel of beautiful death... Hotel could be referecning a place that the mind goes temporarily.thats my thoughts tho. |

This could be foreshadowing the end of a relationship.. i think its written before marriage, to think of possibilities of what could happen down the road.. also i tinhk its inspired by Invisible Monsters by Chuck Palahniuk,
the entire first verse at least. |

its "match you STRIKE to incinerate" and i tihnk also, "like the blade you stain"///anyways,i dont think the actual song is about his grandmother, maybe just the title. a few lines maybe, like "things are better if i stay" b.c she died when he was on tour, but the rest is about hearts being broken..well i change my mind,it cuold be about his grandma breaking everyones hearts when she died.im up in there, this was pointless.. |

the song i think is just about anti-depressants and suicide being Gerard has been in therapy for a while and it could be due to great depression,as shown in his amazing lyrics... but the peter pan twist could be an inspiration. |

| My Chemical Romance – Demolition Lovers Lyrics
| 21 years ago
|
Obviously, on the surface this song is about lving someone to death but the background to this track is a story that Gerard has concieved about two characters, he and his partner (K). They are both killed but he ends up in Purgatory and the only way that he can get to her is if he kills 1000 evil men. This is the story of how they died. Part of Three Cheers For sweet Revenge follows up this song, and also part of the Demolition Lovers epic is the song Drowning Lessons as it touches upon "1 000 bodies piled up". But of course, there are imagery ties to Natural Born Killers.
My Chemical Romance is the best band ever. Settled. |
