| The Postal Service – We Will Become Silhouettes Lyrics | 20 years ago |

QUOTE:[I have a question: I'm sure I heard this song in a movie... Does anybody know what movie has this song in its soundtrack????] I bet you heard it in the new Honda Civic commercial. I can't help but to think it kinda ironic how a Japanese car company is using a song about a nuclear catastrophe to sell cars. |

| 7 Seconds – Soul to Keep Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| I always thought this was an Alkaline Trio song; but they only covered it. I like the 7 Seconds version better, except the 'wind chimes' at the end kind of dates this one. | |
| Bright Eyes – Train Under Water Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| The guitar solos in this song are AMAZING. They really help paint the picture and I love it when He's like "god damn... make me cry" at the end, like the music is making him cry... it really is beautiful. | |

"but it's funny how alive he felt down in that unemployment line with all that trash at his feet the pools of piss in the street all of that filthy empathy for the way we're feeling " To me this sounds like although he is poor and pathetic, he empathises for those who find themselves another victim of the 9-5 daily grind... |

| Bright Eyes – Ship in a Bottle Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| I agree that the baby crying is annoying, especially mixed with the off-key muted trumpet or whatever that instrument is... Of course it probably has alot to do with the meaning of the lyrics... I like lyrics, but I also like music and the crying distracts me from everything good about this music. | |
| Me First and the Gimme Gimmes – I'll Be There Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| Love it when that badass riff kicks in... I prefer this cover over the original by far... | |
| No Use For A Name – Until It's Gone Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| This is the first No Use song I heard. It was over 10 years ago and it was the soundtrack to a snowboard video I had and from then on I was hooked on this music. Too bad No Use went soft, they were sooooo good on this album. If you liked this song, check out Feeding the Fire... Another great song from Nufan. BTW, I was there at the warped tour back in '98 and Tony and Matt came up to me in the crowd (probably noticed the NUFAN shirt I had bought that day and was wearing) and said "hey dude, help us get up to the front of the crowd to see Ozzy.. " (I guess I looked tall to them?) Unfortunately I was with a group and looking for a friend and the time and did not want to let my friends down by getting lost too... I still regret this decision to this day!!!!!!! If you ever have the chance to hang out with a band you love I suggest you do it without thinking twice or you will regret it the rest of you life!!!!!!!!!!! | |
| Tiger Army – Incoporeal Lyrics | 21 years ago |

Here's how I interpret this song... He's dead of course, and wandering the earth in search of the woman he loved as a mortal being. Unfortunately she went to heaven (where he was not wanted). Everywhere he goes, only his sadness is sensed by the living: "There's no place for me everywhere that I go Only seems to bring upset and harm " He is haunting the living (a woman that reminds him of his lost love in particular) for some reason he wishes her to either join him or take his place. "For like you I once was, and like me you shall be" |

| Rise Against – Torches Lyrics | 21 years ago |

"the clock strikes two, the music slows and each one slowly dons their wings, once outside they all pair off and hand in hand they leave but I'm still waiting, yeah I'm still waiting" This line reminds me of the feeling you get when the bar is closing and everyone is leaving with someone but you are left there alone. |

| No Use For A Name – Feeding The Fire Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| This song is the epitome of old school No Use. It is so hardcore and just fucking rocks... I had the chance to sing the last line when they played in Minneapolis back in '01.. Tony stuck the mic in our faces so we all could shout "I'm not feeding the fire... anymore!!" Was sooooo badass, will never forget it! | |

Ok, my thought on the serrated edge... Don't read so far into it. She is simply cutting meat with some very sharp and very expensive cutlery. It's another reference to yuppie luxuries. |

"your eyes they penetrate me, (your answer's always 'maybe') that's when I got up and left " THat's her answer, I'm thinking his question went something like this: "Will you be there when I come home?" |

| Rise Against – Black Masks and Gasoline Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| Powerful and chaotic. He is preaching Anarchy. | |
| One Man Army – All Night Long Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| This is a catchy song. It's about a go nowhere relationship.. It seems he knew the relationship was doomed from day one, yet they went ahead and did it anyway; Perhaps out of boredom or lonliness. Oh how I can relate. Great song... | |
| Descendents – Talking Lyrics | 21 years ago |
|
I love this song! It seems to be about a guy who works all the time and is never home and the only time he talks to his wife is on the cell, which is posing a growing problem for them. It also seems that there is some sort of communication problem between them. I just love the line "Well, I go yaddaddayaddaya, and you go yaddaddayaddaya Yaddaddayaddayadda is what we gotta do " |
