| Ryan Adams – Rosebud Lyrics

I talked to Ryan about this song after a concert backstage and this is what he swore to me in deepest secrecy. I confirmed it online from what he said. Rosebud, as defined by wikipedia: "Rosebud is a slang term for a prolapsed rectum, as a result of extreme sexual activity involving the anus and rectum." Obviously this occurs from "being shipwrecked up on the Ohio" (i.e. performing too many Cleveland steamers"). So no, its not about Charles Foster Kane or Jerry's guitar, its about someone Ryan was in love with who had a prolapsed rectum and although he has a picture of his lover's "rosebud" he wants to him/her back. |

| Bright Eyes – Easy/Lucky/Free Lyrics

When I first heard this song I thought it was about Life. With life being nothing as lucky, easy, or free. But know that I read the lyrics, I can see that it is definitely about a nuclear war and full or sacrasm and irony concerning death. Each verse is about the aftermath of a nuclear bomb; its the only connection between everything that makes sense. |

It seems like I'm gonna have to break it to you guys. The meaning of this song was not disclosed by Dylan, when he was asked in interviews. Therefore, no can be positive about the meaning. Many Dylan experts and people who have studied Dylan have troubles understanding this song. The most logical meaning i have heard, is that Desolation is not a place; its a state of mind. It coincides with the last stanza of the song, talking about sending letters. Well, that is enough of a lead, you can figure out the rest of it for yourself. |

BRITNEY SPEARS SUCKS! All of you who like/listen to her are advertisers and promoter's bitches. This is a good song. It seems to be more mainstream today. If this is the 1st Dylan song you have heard, listen to the others. His lyrics just get better and better. |

Personally, one of my favorite. Great song. Just listen to it.
"Now the rainman gave me two cures,
Then he said, "Jump right in."
The one was Texas medicine,
The other was just railroad gin.
An' like a fool I mixed them
An' it strangled up my mind,
An' now people just get uglier
An' I have no sense of time." |

Oh yeah. Eddie Vender? Oh, you mean bitch. No, Vender's version sucks. Bob's voice is part of his presentation of his work. His voice and his lyrics are "Dylan". This is because Bob created himself. Vender created some sperm, thats pretty much it. End of Discussion. |

One of Dylan's best. Just listen to the lyrics. Amazing. With that out of the way let me say this. No this song is not about the bible. Completely incorrect. "Scoring Brownie points"? The stupidest thing i have ever heard ever. The meaning of the song is obivious. Bob was jewish until the 70's. So your pretty much wrong. End of discussion. |

Great songs. The ending lyrics are some of the best i have ever heard. Even though this song is one of his most popular, and made mainstream by The Byrds it still seems to repeat in my mind all the time. |
